Dear Blizzard, Al'Akir needs your attention.

blizz -> wysłany:
I've been told we need to spam the forums more about the condition on Al'akir in order to fix it.
At first people just faction changed to the Horde.
These days the Horde on Al'akir is no longer know for there epic pvp..
Thats why more and more people transfer from Al'akir to realms like Outlands because thats where the long log-in queue's are!
I have no idea why people leave to be really honest. Al'akir is a nice little realm at least on Alliance. Most people know each other in one way or another.

Its great until you start thinking about the amount of active Alliance players.
Its sad, frightening even.. When you log on to horde, Ogrimmar is overwhelmed with players doing there thing. When you are in Stormwind on the otherhand its quiet hardly and players most of the times there are more horde in Stormwind then there are alliance in any other major city.

There are some numbers on the internet about the population on Al'akir
Warcraftrealms says:
Total Characters: 6,298
Total Alliance: 201 - 3%
Total Horde: 6,097 - 97%
A to H Ratio: 1 : 30.3
Activity Ratio: 1 : 18.8
9 : 15*
* Number of entries in last 30 days

wowrealmstatus says:
% Horde % Alliance
74.04 % 25.96 %

Its a bit lower then that really since the past couple of days about 10 of the most active Alliance players ragequit and transfered to Outlands.
I bet loads of horde transfer from horde aswell.
Al'akir is dying...

I beg Blizzard to give Al'Akir Free Faction Changes or Free Transfers to Al'akir Alliance.

If you agree please reply
/bump!

You know, you really shouldn't be creating threads on multiple forums about this, as this is not allowed.

your players

I am not a Blizzard employee, I'm just saying that you shouldn't make multiple threads else they'll just end up getting locked by moderators, and it will look bad on your cause here. :)
blizz -> wysłany:
Hi guys,

Please refrain from creating multiple threads on the same topic. I will lock the other two and let this one continue.

Please know that we are aware of the situation in regards to population and faction balance issues on some realms, however it is not one that can easily be resolved. I'm afraid we do not have much more we can say in regards to this topic at this point in time, but I can assure you that we are monitoring the situation and we are looking into possible ways that may hopefully improve the situation in the future.
blizz -> wysłany:
No one from blizzard reads those posts

This is wrong.

We do read those posts, as well as many other posts. Just because you may not see a blue post does not mean that we have not read it.
blizz -> wysłany:

Just some previous threads..
And yet not a single blue post..

Just because you may not see a blue post does not mean that we have not read it.

blizz -> wysłany:
I totally understand that you guys are frustrated, and I get that you guys would very much like us to come up with a fix right this instant.

Unfortunately, as have also been said in other threads on this and similar topics, there simply is no easy or simple fix to this.

If we had 1 free migration every time we read this on forums all realm issues would have been fixed by now.

As much as I know I am throwing myself into the flames here, this is completely wrong.

A Blizzard employee will not just wake up one morning, and think "oh, here is a player complaining about population balances and whatnot; let me just press this big shiny button called migration and all problems will be solved." No, sorry, but it just doesn't work that way.

When deciding on realm migrations, there are multiple factors they need to take into consideration, some of which I may not even be aware of, but what I know is a deduction made from my own logic. All in all, it all boils down to maintaining balances that have already been made.

Take Outland (realm) for example. When migrations were opened for them, there were a few players there expressing their concerns about migrations only being opened to dead or or low populated realms. This is understandable because nobody really wants to be in a dead realm. Some players thus asked for migrations to instead be opened to medium or high populated realms. Yeah, sure, I'd want that too if I were in an overpopulated realm, but let's just be practical here. When one opens migrations to such realms, how long will it be before said realms end up with the same fate as Outland? That would defeat the purpose of a migration. This is just one example of how "just open a migration without second thought" would fail, because they needed to spend time thinking about which realms need to be migrated to as well as from, and consider the current balances that need to be preserved.

Now, back on the the situation with Al'akir. I understand that because this is a PVP realm, it is very important that balances are made between the different factions. However, from what I can see in the realmlist, it appears to be a medium populated server. So in terms of numbers, its balanced. In terms of factions, however, it is clearly not balanced. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that this is not good and something should indeed be done. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for a person on a PVP realm to experience such issues with balance. But let's just be fair here, if they simply "open a migration because players demand it", won't that create more disruptions in the general population than what is necessary (by general, I mean all players on this realm as a whole and not just balance between the Horde and Alliance)? Point being, just "opening a migration", without considering the consequences thereof, will create a snowball effect of even bigger problems, such as realm desertion or, maybe the opposite, overpopulation.

So what point am I trying to make here with this wall of text that will inevitably get picked apart? Deciding on migrations is not that easy. There are so many factors they take into consideration. Also be aware that their servers are equipped with internal population monitoring software. They are fully aware of population imbalances before anyone even bothers to post about it on the forums.

Just be patient, and be rest assured that they are aware of the situation. A fix, however, is not always simple or even immediate.
