Will You Level A Pandaren?” wysłany:
Outlands isn't too bad now. I usually just do zangarmarsh and nagrand and by then I'm level 68 and move on. Northrend however...ugggghhh.

I will probably not level a panda right away. I do want to test out a monk, and my monk will probably be a pandaren, but I'd like to focus on my priest and druid first.
Ultimately this whole situation is between the OP and Blizzard and once the appropriate things are reviewed the appropriate action will be taken. Simple as that.

Let's all go have lunch. :)

True, but why come to the general forums and open up Pandora's Box if you want to keep it between you and Blizz?

Also, the OP has yet to show how this situation is Blizzard's fault.

I think most of us here know it's not Blizzard's fault. The OP was given many resources to use and has indicated that they will use them. Unfortunately sometimes when people get frustrated and may not be aware of other resources, they lash out without considering the consequences of posting in a public space (These forums are technically to ask for help with aspects of the game.). I fear that's how a lot of people in game get in trouble, same thing for the forums. So I can't really blame the OP for being frustrated, even if the anger was misdirected at Blizzard. I also don't blame anyone posting in this thread because it's a public forum, I was just reminding people that speculation is speculation at this point and it's probably not worth arguing, especially since it's at the point of semantics now.

@Mishotem: I want pizza, but I'm gonna end up with spaghettios.

Also I'll stop now. Trying not to derail too much. To the food storage area!

Turn off real id. The only way someone could know what realm you moved to was with real id.

I suspect you have a friend who is aligned against you.

This isn't true. Some websites can track this information.

To the OP -

There are addons you can get that will block low level whispers and anyone who is not on your "approved" list. I would strongly recommend looking into one of those as well as opening a petition through the battle.net ticketing system to include the names and pertinent dates/information of the people who are harassing you.

As stated by Orylia in this thread:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3881710222?page=3#60

In game tickets and petitions are treated differently.

With regard to the thumbs down feature, there is little to no mystery as to its purpose. Should someone create a thread or a response that expresses something you don’t agree with or don’t like, you should absolutely click “Dislike”. If enough people agree with you it could cause it to become grayed out or even buried. Alternatively by using the thumbs up button you can like something, and if enough people also like it the post will become highlighted, and have a greater chance to be highlighted on the front page of the website as a Popular Topic. The rating feature is our way of providing the community with an alternative to responding directly and as a means of promoting the forums as a community-driven environment.

With the reasons given by Crithto, I would like the ability to rate Blue posts, please.

Given the reaction to things like Blizzard's youtube posts getting consistent downranks I think this would be a bad idea since some people sometimes just click dislike for the sake of dislike and burying blue posts would mean people who may need to see them would have less of a chance of it.

I understand what you're saying but in the case of feedback like that a well-worded response post would do a world better than just clicking like or dislike on the post since most of the time blues are posting about game related thing.

Who's idea was WoW” wysłany:
The driving force behind the lore has been Chris Metzen:

http://www.wowpedia.org/Metzen

Though there's a team of lore and story/quest developers right now with folks like Dave Kosak running them:

http://www.wowpedia.org/Dave_Kosak

A lot of the brainchild of WoW's design came from Tigole:

http://www.wowpedia.org/Tigole

Rob Pardo:

http://www.wowpedia.org/Rob_Pardo

Furor:

http://www.wowpedia.org/Alex_Afrasiabi

etc. who had played everquest and were brought on to help design the world of warcraft based on their experience in that game. It's kind of a funny story. They were unhappy with EQ and basically told the EQ devs, "If you don't take our suggestions to heart, we'll design our own game."

And they did.

And look at WoW now.

However, despite there being some big names in WoW development rest assured that every single person on the teams contributed in some way. WoW isn't any one person's brainchild or game, though some had more of a hand in it than others.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some older devs but I wasn't as into the game when I started playing back in the day so I didn't keep as much tracking on it.

I used to be an imperial guard, then I took a cheese wedge to the face so I decided to adventure instead.

Just came back from adventures to worlds beyond Azeroth and Outlands. Ate well in distant lands, but now my flightmaster is putting me on a strict diet.

LFM: Illustrious Engineers for Blizzard” wysłany:
I have an honest question about this job position. All the requeriments seem fine and what you would expect from a company such as Blizzard. There is one point that's bugging me though.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

Now here's the thing. A "senior" position is one I would expect to be filled by a professional who has 10 to 15 years of experience in his career, which means he would have started college between 14 and 19 years ago. Ghostcrawler himself said in an interview that back then, it was not uncommon to have software engineers with all kinds of different degrees because computer science courses weren't as readily avaiable as they are today, which matches my own observations as a software engineer - over 80% of the seniors I know do not have such degrees.

Isn't that request a little out of place for a company that employs marine biologists as lead game designers? Why restrict the pool of applicants, when you are searching people because of their experience in the field?

It's not out of place because a lot of professionals in these fields are attending/have attended college recently (Either to pursue a second master's, bachelor's or certificate) to make sure their skillsets continue to be adequate in the face of evolving technology. Experience is great, a degree is great. Experience and a degree are what gets you the chance* to negotiate your salary instead of taking the first offer you get.

Question... what does it mean when some one's chat is green and it says they are MVP.. what makes some one MVP?

Here's a quick FAQ about the MVP program:

To make this thread a little more helpful with diagnosing the issue (since we're all speculating) what ISPs are you all using? I'm using comcast and I'm on the east coast.

It's across the board. It's the login server. No SC2 either. I lost the ability to find games in it, logged out to try to fix it, and logged back in.

But, I use comcast as well. Mid west.

Were you able to log into the forums or were you still logged in?
