Part way through reading this thread

when I got to the part about "never log in again", a thought suddenly appeared in my mind, I know, I've had many, and shared many here on the forum, but feel like sharing this one as it seems really good (imo anyway).
High level characters, Blizzard knows who they are, and on what realms they reside.
What I propose, is that, high level characters, who, for whatever reason, have not logged in for a long period of time, that they sometimes (even if only fleetingly) appear in the game world at night on their last server, that they become 'The Ghosts of WoW'.
Somehow, all the things that they have accomplished, all the things that gave their owner (and others) pleasure, would, in a way, still kind of live on. Maybe even let them appear in a small dedicated zone. 'The Zone of Rest/Contemplation' or w/e.
Dunno if it's technically possible, but I can't see any reason why not.
Anyway, have a good weekend all.
