This mist-shrouded Darkmoon Island is a conundrum wrapped in an enigma, accessible at the beginning of each month for one week only. Currency: Darkmoon Prize Tickets Completing games and quests on Darkmoon Island will generally reward you with Darkmoon Prize Tickets. These are used to purchase most of the items you will find on sale at the Darkmoon Faire.

On this dark, isolated and mysterious island, you can play minigames, unlock achievements, advance in your crafting skills through profession quests, get some useful buffs for your character, fight for a treasure chest, taste new flavors and exotic food, attend the Tauren Chieftains concert, take part in daily quests to be rewarded with Darkmoon Faire reputation, and earn Darkmoon Prize Tickets to buy pets, mounts, vanity items, and much, much more!
Is there an easy way to get there?
Yes! It can easily reach the portals located in Elwynn Forest and Mulgore by paying a Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage (located in all capital cities and Dalaran) to teleport you there.
Although there is no level restriction to attend the Faire, you can only travel to the island while the Darkmoon Faire is open.
Why should I go there?
There is so much to purchase at the Darkmoon Faire for your characters: items, mounts, pets, replica armor to change your character appearance, and much, much more! You will need Darkmoon Prize Tickets to purchase those, and you can only obtain them by completing games and quests on this island.

They will also give you a Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide to keep in your inventory: it will allow you to find Darkmoon Artifacts in appropriately challenging dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds.
Finally, don’t forget to buy some Darkmoon Game Tokens so you can play the Faire’s games. They are sold singly or in batches by several vendors scattered around the Faire.

This rare companion can be caught in the waters that surround Darkmoon Island. When summoned it will spawn in a spout of water and follow you in a translucent bubble.
This rare companion can be found in a Darkmoon Pet Supplies, reward of the Darkmoon Pet Battle Daily Quest (see the Daily Quests tab above to learn more).
This rabbit is no ordinary rabbit. It will drop from the ferocious Darkmoon rabbit, resting in his grim lair somewhere on the Darkmoon Isle... You might want the help of a whole army to defeat it!
The Darkmoon Faire also offers very useful items for those who want to play and level alternate characters: heirloom items. Heirloom Items can be shared with any of your characters on the same realm: they are Bind On Account. You can send them by in-game mail even if the recipient is on the opposite faction – as long as you don’t add anything else in the parcel!
These items have a pale golden hue in their text color, and their attributes scale with your character's level from 1 to 80, or 1 to 85.
Daenrand Dawncrest, a well-equipped Blood-Elf, will exchange his precious gear for 110, 130, or 160 Darkmoon Prize Tickets, depending on which item.
