New MVP

blizz -> wysłany:
Dear World of Warcraft Community,

As you may already be aware, our MVP program is a way for us to reward active, constructive and helpful players participating on the European World of Warcraft forums. We provide MVPs with a special avatar that will identify them as such (when it actually works, that is!), and also their posts appear in green text. This is intended to be a fun opportunity for our MVPs as well as to give our community an additional communication channel.

You may already be familiar with our existing MVPs: Adnaw, Lobotomy, Shammoz & Celiby. You may also be familiar with Lethan. Well, now he is an MVP too! Please can you give him a warm welcome :-)
blizz -> wysłany:
Q. Why was the MVP Program created?

A. Members of the Community Team have often responded to questions that players can and do answer just as easily. However, at times, answers by players would go completely ignored while the original poster sought a "blue" response, not trusting what their fellows told them.

In order to solve the problem, we instituted a program that has shown great success on Blizzard's forums in the past: the MVP (Most Valuable Poster) Program. This tag next to players who have answered players' questions consistently and accurately lends a note of credibility to what they post; it allows players seeking answers to take what they say at face value

Q. What does an MVP do?

A. An MVP continues to do what they've already been doing: promoting constructive posting wherever they can. They contribute to the community and encourage polite discussion throughout the forums. When you see an MVP post, listen to what they have to say -- they were chosen for their knowledge of the game, also.

Q. Why didn't you select _____, someone who always gives great constructive feedback on X subject?

A. Please understand that MVPs are not class representatives or community representatives in that sense; they are not chosen for their ability to criticise game mechanics and give feedback. They certainly can do this (and many do). The members of the Community Team are still the vehicles through which you should submit feedback by posting on these forums. We do not have a class representative system in place at this time and would prefer to hear all players' feedback instead of a select few.

Q. Why aren't the MVPs all level 80s?

A. You do not have to have a level 80 to answer the majority of questions on these forums clearly and accurately. You do not need a level 80 to be able to direct players to the appropriate page on the website for their question, or to link to an answer already given by Blizzard. The "you must have a level 80 to post something useful" perception is largely false, and not something we wish to perpetuate. Again, this partially stems back to the idea that MVPs are in fact community representatives who are giving feedback for the playerbase, which is untrue.

Q. How can I become an MVP?

A. Keep posting constructively, answering questions about the game, and encouraging discussion (and no, that doesn't mean giving a post a title and then saying "Discuss.") throughout the forums -- we'll take notice. Following the Code of Conduct would be an important part of it, as well.

Q. Who are the current MVPs for the English EU forum?

A. The current MVPs are now:

Adnaw
Celiby
Lethan
Lobotomy
Shammoz

Welcome to the Green Dragonflight Lethan (Well hopefully we get our avatars back!)

Hello, I'm Lethan!

I'm sure some of you know me already. The forums I frequent the most are Newcomers and General, and previously Cataclysm. You may also see me post in In-Game Customer Support every now and then :)

Edit: thanks Shammoz :)

HAI MATE.

OMG They are right... MVP's are unbalanced! (In my case in many ways!) Nerf horde or Buff Alliance!

Currently its 3 vs 2 (Horde Favour) !!!!

Give MVT (Most Valuable Troll).

We already do give special treatment to forum trolls and the like; we reward them with membership in our Forum Holiday Club.

Thanks for the response, everybody! I had to go away from my PC for some hours (oh, even I do have family) ^_^

A conspiracy of Forsaken MVPs? Shh, you're spoiling it! MVP party at my place? Sure, I've got Sulfuron Slammers, first round's on me.

I didn't know people were still interested in the daily quiz thread. Honestly, I had a lot of fun quizzing General Discussion every night, so maybe sometime Soon™? The reason why I let it die was because I ran really short on questions. Every night at 22:30, I had to go to wowwiki and dig up something, and it got a little boring in the end. If I'm to make a quiz in the future, I would love some help from you. Cake will be rewarded :)

Again thanks!

Congrats to the MVPs, they deserve the praise for their work.

I was thinking of maybe helping out the paladine section with what i know, like the MVPs do with their choices. Maybe i won't have much time, but i'll try to help whatever i can :-

If you know a bit about the paladin class, you could always try to help people out. It doesn't matter if you haven't got much time - remember that quality beats quantity.

And thanks :)

But I feel we're missing the main issue here! Gnome rights!

For too long the long legger races have looked down upon us as nothing more than pests, vermin... All because we have no home of our own because we can't chase out some low level elites!

Well there's a lot of them OK, we could clear them out but it would take far too long!

The growing instances of gnomeist remarks and violence is on the rise, gnomes shouldn't have to tolerate this gnomeism. Perhaps it's because us gnomes, we're close to proving that all long leggers devolve into horde races... Yes, you, the bearded ones... You're going to be a cow soon.

You, dwarf... You're gonna become a goblin!

I'll prove my findings and publish them to the world!

You said it! Sing it brother sing it, while I prepare the mind control satellites and explosive chickens! We shall prevail if not by merit alone then by force and a 99.6% success rate!
