You did, but I just don't agree with the conclusion you drew. If I have to see blue posts that don't directly address a subject with new information, I'd rather see blues with some personality when that happens.
That's just personal preference, of course, but I think most of the reasonable people you mention in your post probably feel the same.
Let me ensure that I understand your comments. You are saying that if you saw a "Thank you for your feedback; we will relay your comments to the developers" message, you would feel...how?
Not unhappy, because you did not say that. But you did say that you would prefer a post with greater information. Well, of course you would prefer a post with greater details; I do not disagree there, as I imagine that many people would.
But the crux of the issue is this:
If you had the choice between:
A, NO RESPONSE
B, A response that tells you "We're listening and looking into it"
Which would you prefer? That is my point. I hope it makes sense.
I personally get where you're coming from, as a "customer", but if you take a step back and think about it, what does a "Thank you" provide to the thousands of posts we get a week besides making fluff and filling up the forums with Blizz symbols?
I'm sure that the OP of such a thread would feel a bit better, but that doesn't mean, by any stretch, that we are making a change in response to that feedback.
I think I would rather we engage and provide conversation, and important updates to questions/concerns - when the opportunity arises that feedback leads to change, we will comment on threads surrounding that change.
We are constantly working with the development team to get more commentary, but I think that now more than ever that commentary exists in different mediums than the forums alone - blogs, social media, developer Q&As, press interviews, etc., so you may be feeling a symptom of that as well. :)
Sup y'all, its ya boi.
why do you find enjoyment in our suffering
What are we if not slaves to this torment?
