Why is Silencing a thing?” wysłany:
I'm gonna go ahead and lock this one as the wonderful Vrakthis has written books on this in the Customer Support forums that some of you have so kindly linked for OP.

OP this is not a place to discuss penalties, if you disagree with your silence you're more than welcome to appeal it but considering you're on multiple silences in a row I think its safe to say you're earning these pretty fairly. I'd suggest you take the hint so that you don't continue to get silenced. You're free to say what you want in private chats but keep it out of channels that are not private such as /say, /yell, Trade, and General chat. Obviously this isn't the full list but you get the idea.

I'd also like to remind everyone that again, the silence is not automatic. Every single one of them is reviewed by a Game Master before the penalty is actually applied.

And a Gnome Druid - wolverine tank form!

Pretty sure Gnome Druid Bear form would just be a bear cub.

Is this where we sign up for Gnomadins?
What is the race of Auriel?” wysłany:
Auriel is actually a Diablo character but she does have a Spirit Healer skin in Heroes of the Storm as a tribute to the Spirit Healers in Alterac Valley since it is a Warcraft themed Battleground/event they're doing at the moment.

I wouldn't consider the Spirit Healers a race since they're referred to as angelic beings who reside in the spirit world.

I wish game developers would make a little more effort than they do to defend their customers against these types of stigmas and promote the fact that gaming isn't just some kind of poison that we let into our lives.

You won't see too much from developers officially because there actually is an organization who represents the industry that responds on issues like this called the Entertainment Software Association(ESA). I'm not remotely involved with that and solely work with World of Warcraft but just shedding some knowledge that there is a group that represents at least the "industry".

They issued a response this morning here if you'd like to read it.
https://twitter.com/theESA/status/1008795953422364672

"It is extremely important to note that the proposed draft circulating is not final and it is still under discussion and review. Experts worldwide are urging caution regarding the World Health Organization's proposed 'gaming disorder' as it may lead to misdiagnosis of real mental health conditions. It is concerning to see the 'gaming disorder' proposal in this draft despite significant opposition from the medical and scientific community. The research supporting inclusion is highly contested and inconclusive. There is no objective evidence to define and diagnose overuse and that may result in misdiagnosis. The WHO should consider the mounting evidence put before them before inclusion next year of 'gaming disorder' in the final version of ICD-11."

Just for awareness these kinds of topics are a little off topic for the WoW forums so please try to discuss something like this in a constructive way.
End of Legion: PVP Systems Feedback” wysłany:
Thanks guys on all of your responses here and your continued level of feedback you're giving us on these.

What's Next?
I'm gonna be going through and compiling all of this into data for the team like we normally do with topics on the forums. What's different is that having the feedback concentrated like this should help ensure the topic is properly covered.

I'm gonna lock this one now to preserve it. Like I mentioned before we're doing a series of these and the next one is Order Halls.

Where is X Topic?
There is probably a topic on our list that pertains to you so no worries! We plan on covering quite a few bases of playstyles overall within the game.

End of Legion: PVP Systems Feedback” wysłany:
With Legion coming to a close we thought we might try something a little different and collect some specific feedback on things. We've now covered Mythic+, and Mythic Raiding so its time to change it up!

This week's topic is going to be about PVP Systems over the course of Legion. BUT WAIT. While its easy to lump class feedback into the umbrella of PVP that's not what we're looking for here. We're looking for feedback more centered on PVP's functioning systems. This includes things like gearing, Arena and Battleground maps, rewards, rating systems, etc.

Why the clarification to exclude Class Feedback?
This is because if we didn't this feedback post would be almost impossible to read or evaluate. Those types of issues are far better as one offs that we can evaluate within those situational examples.

Where is X topic?
Don't worry as we have a list of topics that we plan on going down and its probably on the list. Every week will be a new topic so just give us a moment and we'll get there.

What Topics have you covered already?
We've now covered Mythic+, and Mythic Raiding.

Also a friendly note that just because you see it here doesn't mean it will be changed or added - and this topic is not an indication of future feature development.

What is the rarest item you have?” wysłany:
06/08/2018 11:14 AMPosted by Mirasol
I actually don't really know what stuff is considered rare so it is hard to tell what would be most interesting.

Yeah its hard to kinda know what people perceive as impressive when you talk about rarity. For example promotional things like the anniversary events or like the Annual Pass with Tyreal's Charger. They're surprisingly rare but you didn't have to really do anything to get them other than play the game at that time.
What is the rarest item you have?” wysłany:
I've got a lot of things but I'm pretty proud of my Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent. Really low droprate and I managed to get it on the second or third kill.

The overall rarest mount I have is probably either that or Tyrael's Charger from the Annual Pass. I don't have a Blizzard Bear :( (this might be a lowkey beg for a Blizzard Bear or Mini Tyrael)

Outside of the game but still WoW related is probably the collection of figures from the Diorama at last year's BlizzCon. I have a bunch of test figures that we used some of our personal characters to figure out some models and effects. I have 3 test prints of just my Paladin and somehow they all came out looking like they were stills of the same animation. It's kinda cool looking.

I believe Blizzard's ultimate goal is to unlock the secret of KFC's 12 spice recipe so they can use this knowledge to take over the world

It starts with Scary, Sporty, Baby, Ginger, and Posh... they know something I'm sure of it.
For the first time in World of Warcraft® history, the next expansion—Battle for Azeroth™—will launch in the Americas, Europe, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand at the same time. End of Legion: Mythic Raiding Feedback” wysłany:
With Legion coming to a close we thought we might try something a little different and collect some specific feedback on things. Last week's topic, which was Mythic+, I think went over really well and I'm looking forward to what you guys have to say about some of the topics on our list and what you thought about them over the course of the expansion.

This week's topic is going to be about Mythic Raiding over the course of Legion. We want to hear what you all think it did well, what you think it didn't, what about certain bosses that you liked or didn't like, specific mechanics, etc.

    Why "Mythic" Raiding specifically?
We felt like Mythic on its own stood to be its own topic because it has its own specific feedback comparatively to Heroic or Normal. There will be another topic later that will cover Normal and Heroic.

    Where is X topic?

    ...

Isn't being subjected to your phobia one of the most common treatments for phobias? Also I totally though this was about that achievement when I saw the title.

I don't know the research on this, but I'm willing to bet anyone subjected to this might pretend to be cured just to end it.

I've been scared of heights my whole life and I can't even stand in a chair and look straight up without getting vertigo. If someone were to force me into a high area and leave me, I'd probably literally turn into stone out of fear.

On the bright side, I'd be a sweet gargoyle.

It actually is a psychological treatment called Flooding. That's like the one thing I remember about my Psychology class cause it was incredibly fascinating. Apparently humans will reach a point where it just breaks the phobia if you're continually exposed to it and its extremely effective.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional and this is the extent of what I didn't sleep through in my one Psychology class.
