Race Change

So I heard that come Cataclysm, we'll be able to race change upon release.
I'm planning to change to a Goblin Hunter, but I'm wondering if buying the race change now, and leaving that button there until Cataclysm will allow me to just click it and become a Goblin on the spot?

Or will I have to buy the race change after Cata hits?
