Thanks for posting this! Authenticators are fantastic and we’d really like to see more people to start using them. The in-game unlocks are great too, but the real reward is peace of mind as you know your account is safe and secure. Have you added an authenticator to your account? Why, or why not? :). |
This has been a great discussion so far, thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone! What other customisation options would you like to see based on what’s been shown so far? |
I’m really loving the recent changes so far. I usually do a lot of my cloak runs in groups because I enjoy this sort of content a lot more when chatting with my friends and guildies on voice chat. With the recent changes and not being as worried like I might “lose” a run by trying it (since it’s a lot easier to get more Vessels and you need fewer of them now for your upgrade cycles), I finally ended up doing a 5 boss run solo! Still no mount for me though - my luck’s terrible . What’s everyone else’s experience with the new Horrific Vision changes? Does it make it easier for you to try experimenting with your runs? |
Hello Läyrâa! Please note and as mentioned by other posters, these are the English language forums. If you’d like to discuss anything WoW-related in French, please do so on our French language forums. I’ve locked your post due to this, but you can repost it on the right ones I’ve linked above :). |
Hey Lillian! Thank you so much for bringing this up. We actually have a new feature available for reporting accessibility issues or concerns within our games and you can find more details on this under this link: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/000244753 I don’t have much further to add that isn’t already covered there, but I hope we’ll have the ability to help you and everyone else with these or similar accessibility concerns in our games :). |
Hey Cordylía!
This definitely sounds a little suspicious, especially if the email itself no longer seems to be linked to an existing Battle.net account. It's very possible this is a "phishing" or scam email trying to trick you, and I would echo the sentiments here to perhaps reach out to our Game Masters with all the details if you'd like to clear this up. The concept of "phishing" is very well explained in this Support article as well and even has a few tips on how you can check and confirm this for yourself, which you and anyone else with the same concerns may want to check out: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/7097 |
Happy to join in on the hype and excitement! Definitely looking forward to tonight :D

Aerythlea, who's your favourite blue poster among us all?
A correct answer would result in a free coffee and muffin of your choice when we next have a chance to meet up! :) |
I was a big fan of the artifacts and Class Hall Campaigns and lore. As someone with lots of alt characters, it was very handy to have a good weapon available without too much effort required and they all looked awesome. It also allowed me to test all classes and their specs with relative ease, as previously I was usually held back by having to get a relevant weapon for the spec I wanted to try.
Naturally, I was also big on unlocking as many of the artifact appearances as I could, and the Mage Tower challenges have been a great experience. I've only done the ones I really liked or wanted the appearance for but even then I've completed over half of them at this point and I might try for a few more with my new overpowered artifacts :). World Quests and Mythic Keystones were great additions to the game and I'm glad to see them coming back for Battle for Azeroth. Finally, the raiding experience has been pretty amazing, with lots of great boss encounters inside places filled to the brim with lore details and history. |
I'd probably find a cosy little spot on GM Island to watch the sun go down one last time...
|
What a wonderful sight to see, so many people with multiple alts! Now I won't have to feel too bad about my 13 characters at max level... I just can't help myself!
And now I've started to level some Allied Race alts too for their Heritage armour transmogs, because of course I need to have those too! :). |
Hey Platemate,
Gráinne's answer is correct - if you have an existing Battlechest level account, you should be purchasing the bundle option that was linked. Please keep in mind that you cannot use a Battle for Azeroth key if your account is not currently upgraded to Legion. If you prefer to upgrade using a Physical version of the game later, like a Collector's Edition of Battle for Azeroth, then that option also exists and we recently released a blog that explains your options for that. You can find that here: https://news.blizzard.com/en-gb/world-of-warcraft/21669947/battle-for-azeroth-collector-s-edition |
I started off as a Tauren Shaman myself. I really liked Tauren from playing Warcraft 3 and the Shaman class looked really cool so it was was an excellent match for me. I was a complete MMO newbie at the time and I had no idea what I was doing, but Windfury and a two-handed weapon was amazing!
I still have this character today, though I don't play him actively anymore. |
Grats Jeroema! Like a few others here, the Deathcharger mount still eludes me as well, it's a very rare drop indeed :).
|
An excellent and detailed explanation, Ashurien! Thanks for helping out :).
And good luck to you, Sunbursts! "Uniting the Isles" should not take you very long if you've already been doing some zone quests and content in the Broken Isles and you'll need that reputation if you'd like to go for unlocking flying in the Broken Isles as well, through the Broken Isles Pathfinder achievements. The wowhead guide linked is an excellent resource for you regarding all of this, so be sure to check it out! |
Hello Yazmaniand!
Everyone in this thread has already been super helpful, which is great to see (thanks folks!). I would just like to take the opportunity to let you know we also have a New and Returning Players Forum which may be just what you're looking for: https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/874698/ As covered, you'll indeed find that a lot has changed over the years. It sounds like you never really experienced the main Cataclysm expansion overhaul to the original "vanilla" content and you've obviously missed lots of class changes (and new class introductions!), along with loads of new content like dungeons, raids, battlegrounds and so forth that were introduced over the years. The good news is that we've already automatically enabled your account to avail of most of that content without having to do anything else, by giving you access to all the previous expansions released so far. As suggested by others here, an upgrade to Legion may indeed benefit you by introducing a free level 100 boost, though I may recommend you first take some time to really get used to all the new changes before committing to that. Do keep in mind that the expansion upgrade to Legion does not include any additional game time however. I hope you'll find your groove back, either on your Shaman or on any new character you may start instead, and make sure you check out some of the content you've missed out on over the years. The Adventure Guide (Shift+J) will be a great help to you in-game so be sure bring that up next time you're online, and I'm sure our community is ready to help you out with any other questions you may have, both here and on the New and Returning Players forum I linked earlier :). |
*dances* Look at that snowman go!
Happy holidays everyone! :) |
This is a lovely post. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, transmog information, helpful answers, making fun of Blood Elves and Gnomes - this thread has it all!
Nice job, gang :) |
Oooh, a topic just for me!
I'm a complete altoholic. I finished leveling my 12th character to 110 a while back and this is usually my goal at some point during an expansion, to have all classes at max level and some decent gear. For me it's always been about the chance to play something new whenever I log in. I might feel like doing a dungeon, or a raid. I might feel like tanking or healing instead of dps. I might feel like clearing some dailies or world quests, or finally start working on that one unlock that's previously eluded me. Farming for mounts gets a lot easier once you have 12 attempts a week :). With Legion I've really been enjoying the different class hall stories and the extra storylines with the new champions and the class mounts. I've started to focus on unlocking a bunch of the hidden and alternative appearances for all my artifact weapons, since I'm also a transmog fan and want to make sure I have these unlocked for the future after Legion. It's all about keeping myself busy and finding new reasons to log in each day :). I usually try to set myself a challenge or find new ways to level up as the expansion progresses. Aside from the usual "do zone quests". I've tried leveling through PvP, Legion invasions, pet battles - it's always a new challenge for me and I love reading about new ways to level up or things to do on these forums and our fansites. Great thread to share some experiences and learn some new things here! |
