Ghostcrawler Leaving” wysłany:
I'm just wanting to jump in here to give an enormous and heartfelt thanks to Ghostcrawler for everything that he has done for the community, the game and for Blizzard. He will be sorely missed and I wish him all the best in his new opportunity.

Also; blue-tagging this thread for visibility.
Battle.net desktop app Issue” wysłany:
We’re aware of an issue that began after the 12/11 Battle.net update; certain versions of Windows XP are unable to start up the Battle.net Agent to run Blizzard games.

To resolve this issue, you must manually uninstall ALL Battle.net related files, including the Battle.net Desktop Application. Follow these steps:

1. Show hidden files and folders.
2. Using Windows Explorer, delete the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Battle.net
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Battle.net
3. Choose the appropriate option for the launcher you use:
  • Battle.net Desktop Application & Hearthstone users: Use the updated Battle.net or Hearthstone installer on the Battle.net Games Management page to reinstall Battle.net application and related files.
  • Classic launcher users: Launch the game using the normal shortcut to download the updated Battle.net/Agent files.
WoW Source Needs Your Questions” wysłany:
We're doing another WoW Source (watch the first one here) and are looking for your questions. This is a BlizzCon wrap-up episode, so we're going to talk about all the announcements, parties, competitions and contests that went on. Get your questions in, and feel free to use the “thumbs-up” Like button to support questions others have asked that you’d like to see answered. Your question could be featured on the next episode!
To quell the comments about Warriors in this thread before they get out of hand; I in no way said that Warriors as a class are fine or perfectly balanced. I also didn't say that we wouldn't be making changes to them due to their current state.

My post simply stated some of the reasons for the increased participation numbers that we've been seeing from Warriors as a class in Arena. I also said that we're watching the performance of the Warrior class closely and we'll make changes if required. We will make a change for Warriors, but that's more in the spirit of making Arena more enjoyable, rather than as a direct nerf to the class. The main thing that we don't want to do is nerf the class unnecessarily or too much to avoid another issue.

I don't care how popular they are, there is no reason why Warrior representation should be higher than that of all other melee specs combined.
Representation is not an indicator for class strength, but more for the classes popularity. Class strength is of course a factor in its popularity, but it isn't the be all and end all.

However the question is, are we as a community getting enough feedback, back from Blizzard.
What is it that you would like to hear more from us about? We regularly communicate on the hot topics that we see on the forums, however we want to ensure that we don't detract from the feedback that is being given in a particular thread. We especially don't want to end up derailing a good discussion simply by being present, or by what we bring to the discussion. Sometimes it's better for us to let a topic run its course as this is at heart a community forum for you guys to discuss the game.

04/11/2013 23:16Posted by Puffypaws
Once in a very long while there comes a blue, sits down and chats with the community for a while about a certain topic in a thread. And that's great. But how often does that happen?
I personally try to jump in here to chat with you all on a regular basis, just as the other Community team members do. Remember that the work that the community team does isn't solely about posting on the forums, in fact posting here on the forums and on social media is just one small part of the job that we do.

04/11/2013 23:16Posted by Puffypaws
But when you make it seem like your feedback doesn't matter or isn't heard, then people kind of lose motivation to continue their feedback.
A blue post in a thread is not intended as a way for us to show that a thread has been read, our posts are simply that, posts. We read every thread possible and we relay the feedback that you give back to the developers, they even read the forums and your feedback themselves. Understand that your feedback does matter to us, in fact every voice matters to us, it's one of our core values. Don't lose that motivation to provide quality feedback as it does help to make World of Warcraft a better game for everyone.

04/11/2013 23:16Posted by Puffypaws
More blue posts would be lovely, but what I'd really like to see is more time and dedication from Blizzard. Even something as simple as "We agree that warriors are a little over the top at the moment but want to wait and see how they play out when players are fully geared." or something like that you know? Just like you tell us, "all of your feedback matters, keep it coming!", we are saying this right back at you!
I actually made a similar post about Blood Death Knights recently saying that we're aware of the difficulties players are facing against them. On the topic of Warriors, we're aware that Warrior participation numbers have increased, but this is mainly due to the changes in 5.4. Warriors also scale incredibly well with weapons, which many players have recently gotten and all of this means a lot of players are trying the class out, or have gone back to a Warrior that they'd stopped playing previously, and so on.

We are keeping an eye on Warrior performance, but don't want to nerf them if it turns out to be unnecessary.

Sit down and chat with us about all the different issues that are going on. Keep us up to date about what the developers are up to. It makes us feel like we and our voices matter :)
Your voices do matter greatly to us, and we try to sit down and chat with you all whenever we can. Be sure to remember that the feedback you provide is of great importance to us and if you wish to even provide any about the Community team and its members performance or interactions, including mine, then please do so by sending an email to [email protected]
Hunter pet deals 300k dmg in arena” wysłany:

Thoughts on the season so far?” wysłany:
There is already a thread that is discussing the current state of PvP in this season here: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/8498430528

Hunter pet deals 300k dmg in arena” wysłany:
Thanks for letting us know about this particular issue. This is an issue where hunters are able to increase the power of their pets and deal rather large amounts of damage in a short period. I'm happy to let you all know that we are aware of this and have managed to create a hotfix that should solve the problem. We very recently applied this fix to the game and it should take effect once your realm is restarted, so you shouldn't be encountering Hunter pets with extremely powerful attacks for long. :)

That's an extreme amount of farming you have to do before it's tuesday night.
The catch-up cap is not just there for one week. If you're unable to get the full cap by Tuesday night, then it will carry over to the next week. Just use the calculation I provided earlier to figure out if you will still have an increased cap the next week.

Let's say I have just started playing a character 5 weeks into the season and have a 6200 cap, I manage to earn 2000 points of my catch up cap that week. That means in week 6 I will have a cap of: (6 - 1) * 1000 – 2000 + 2200 (Default cap for the sake of simplicity) = 5200

So the catch up cap is not just something you have for one week, it applies throughout the entire season to help you with catching up. :)

My cap this week is correct.
I'm glad to hear that your cap managed to get sorted and is now correct. :)
PvP Wishlist for 6.0” wysłany:
In regards to those of you who are raising concerns over the current amount of crowd control that is around right now, we just want to make sure that you're aware that we will be working to reduce the amount and frequency of crowd control in the next expansion, while also making diminishing returns easier to comprehend.

One thing to note though is that while we're aware that it's not enjoyable to be unable to play your character at times, we also know that it's quite frustrating to be casting a spell and then suddenly see the word "Immune" come up. We'll try to provide more information on this particular topic when we're able.

At level 70, you get Stampeding Roar. It increases movement speed by 50% for 10 seconds for you and anyone in your party on a 1 minute cooldown. It replaces Dash.
We already actually do this to some degree, but we purposefully only take it so far. Looking specifically at the Dash/Stampeding Roar example, that will actually cause players to hesitate in using Stampeding Roar for their own benefit and instead will only use it when it'd be most efficient for the entire party. Making changes like this can easily start to cause things to get overly complicated. Plus, this doesn't entirely solve the issue of action bar bloat at max level.

Keep the feedback coming everyone, this thread is awesome! :D
The calculation for finding out the value of your Conquest cap is as follows:
(Week of season - 1) * 1000 – Conquest points earned this season + Cap received from your current rating = Weekly cap
Since we are in week five right now, your cap should be 5800/6200 if you have earned no Conquest points this season and have the default cap. You've said that you haven't done any Rated BG's or Arenas, but have you by chance won some normal battlegrounds this season and earned some Conquest points through that?

If you can provide me with your currently displayed Conquest cap and your total number of Conquest points earned this season (Found by hovering over your Conquest Points in the "Currency" tab on your character sheet) I will be able to confirm if your current total of Conquest points is correct or not. :)

I'm sorry to hear you're all having trouble finding partners... I'm feeling your pain!

If you're having trouble finding partners for PvP, then I'd recommend taking a look at the "Looking for Players - PvP forum", Anook, Teamfind, Arena Junkies and PvP-live. You can also let other players on your server know that you are interested in finding other people to play with via the available chat channels and realm forums.

PvP-live even has a dedicated chat interface built in for those looking to find themselves partners for PvP. I posted about it a while back and you should definitely give it a whirl. :)
Can you fix 5s already? Thanks” wysłany:
If you feel that you have found someone who is abusing the Arena system by win trading or cheating in any fashion, then please feel free to open an in-game ticket listing the following information:
  • Player Name.
  • Realm Name.
  • How they are breaking the rules.
  • In which bracket specifically they are breaking the rules

Once the Game Master receives your report, they will investigate the matter fully and deal with the player in question. While they cannot discuss the actions that they take and those actions may not be publicly visible, all reports are taken seriously and handled appropriately.

Double blood DK in 2s, gj blizzard” wysłany:
We're aware that there are many players that are currently having issues with Blood Death Knights in Arena and we agree that they're too strong at the moment. We're looking into solutions for this and we hope to be able to communicate more information in regards to this soon.
Quick update: several of you have expressed a concern about stealth teams staying hidden until late in the game, when Dampening starts to stack. This would require them to grab Shadow Sight orbs as much as possible, which would be tricky but is actually possible (particularly with mechanics like Vanish).

We're not totally sure it would be a problem, as it would require quite a bit of skill and more than a little luck to pull off, but we do see the concern and want to avoid promoting that sort of behavior. So, when the Dampening change goes in, we'll also be changing the Shadow Sight debuff to prevent the player who picks up the orb from using stealth mechanics while it's active. That will also include abilities like Vanish or Shadowmeld.
