Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on our earlier website-cleanup plan announcement. We read through all of your thoughts and suggestions, and based on that we’re making a number of changes to our initial plan. While our goal remains to clean up parts of the website that require frequent updates but don’t see a lot of traffic, we heard some great reasons to keep specific sections around, and in some cases we've come up with creative solutions to make that happen.
Features Being Retired or Changed
Guild Profiles Features Staying
One common question we heard after the previous announcement was whether these changes would affect the website API, which is largely how fansites access data about the game and characters for use on their own pages. These changes in no way affect the API—they only affect the information we’re choosing to display on the official site. We’re committed to providing all of the site-builders out there with tools they need to make their WoW resources great, and we plan to keep providing them with the same level of API information and support. Thanks again for all of your feedback, and for helping us ensure the World of Warcraft website continues to provide you with the information you seek. |
Congratulations Intuitia and welcome! :)

With the latest patch, 5.1 “Landfall”, we’ve introduced the new feature, the Brawler’s Guild. As we previously announced, entry into the Brawler’s Guild is by invitation only.
Invitations can be found on the black market auction house, by invitation from somebody within the guild, and occasionally as drops from certain Horde and Alliance NPCs. Before you rush to your realm’s black market auction house, we wanted to make you aware that invitations may not be available immediately upon realms going live, but should be showing up within the next 24 hours. We wish those of you who choose to take on this next challenge the best of luck in your endeavour. |
Providing an environment where players can compete in the spirit of fair play is extremely important to us, particularly in rated Player versus Player combat. As part of that commitment we regularly monitor gameplay, and have discovered an issue where some Arena teams have exploited the queuing system to obtain high team ratings, “dodge” unfavorable team compositions, and engage in win trading.
These, and all, exploitative activities are absolutely prohibited. We will investigate the situation carefully, and players that have been found to have participated in exploitation will be subject to the appropriate actions against their World of Warcraft accounts. In the meantime, we are currently working to resolve any remaining issues with the queue system to prevent this behavior in the future. |
I'm sorry guys, but this is SPAM!

Due to player queues on certain over-populated realms, we’ll be opening Free Character Migrations for these specific realms.
We want to provide players on these realms with a better gameplay experience on different realms, allowing them a way to escape the wait time upon login. Each source realm will have the option of free character transfers to two different destination realms. Where possible, we’ve selected destination options from the same Battlegroup and realm type (PvE/PvP/RP) as the source realm, and have given different population choices for the target realms. Please note that the FCM service can be closed at any point in time depending on changes in realm population size. With the upcoming release of patch 5.0.4, all items within the Logs Directory for World of Warcraft will be deleted. It is advised that if you have WoW Combat Logs or WoW Chat Logs that you would like to save, that you do so prior to the release of the patch.

Every week this summer, we’re challenging you to get together with a few friends to explore a part of Azeroth that you may not have seen in a while, or perform a feat that you may have never done. They're World of Warcraft Summer Challenges, and we’re going to be playing along with you as we hunt down rare achievements, get screenshots of amazing bosses, and try to find some awesome gear for our transmogrification sets.
This week’s challenge is: Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub. Find out more about this week's challenge in our blog. Zul'Gurub was the capital of the Gurubashi jungle trolls, a tribe that once controlled the vast jungles of the south. It was here that Jin'do the Hexxer summoned the savage loa Hakkar the Soulflayer into Azeroth. Of late, these efforts have begun anew amid an alliance between the Gurubashi and Zandalar trolls that seeks to establish a unified troll empire. |
We're not game masters, support members reply in the forums that are in the "Support" forum group. :) We're the Community team! ^^ And no, unfortunately, we can't work for Blizzard from our own house, but you are free to propose it though! ;) |
It's a pleasure to have you on the team Eldtyara, welcome!!!
Let's celebrate!! the drinks are on me!! ^^ |
Welcome Danellos! Use your green letters wisely, there aren't many! :P |

To keep communication on this as clear as possible, we would like to clarify what has happened with the transition between Seasons 9 and 10, as well as give you our take. First off, to be clear, we made a mistake which led to the frustration of players: We didn't notify players that we made a slight change to the way PvP gear is introduced each season. The change simply wasn't communicated among all of the other patch 4.2 changes, which was a big oversight on our part. When Season 10 hit, Season 9 (ilvl 365) items were replaced with an HP tier of Season 10 (ilvl 371) items. Since players didn't know this would happen, many of you farmed HP and spent it on the Season 9 items prior to this week’s maintenance. Obviously most of you already know what happened and are very frustrated by it, but we just want to clarify the nature of the unrest, as well as the intended way this season transition was to happen. This is the way it should have worked, and how it should work going forward: 1) During any season, a low tier of current-season items will be available for purchase with Honor Points. 2) During any season, a high tier of current-season items will be available for purchase with Conquest Points. 3) At the end of any season, any remaining Conquest Points will be converted into Honor Points above the 4,000 cap. 4) In between seasons, the previous high tier of items become available for purchase with Honor Points, allowing anyone who could not previously afford them with CP one last chance to buy them using the excess Honor Points. 5) The new season begins. Honor Points are capped at 4,000 again. The previous season's sets are removed and replaced with current-season HP and CP items. We've seen a lot of players ask what the purpose is of having Season 9 items available for purchase with Honor Points for a week, before replacing them with better items. The purpose was for people to spend their excess Honor Points on any leftover items, as once the next season starts players can't keep more than 4,000 HP to spend. That is about all of the information we have to share on this subject at the moment, but we want to assure you that the issues with this season transition are well on our radar. This is the way we're looking at it and will let you know if and when we have more information to share. |
