Fifthelement,
Lowering the graphical settings mentioned are all good ideas. If you're still seeing performance issues after trying those steps, please provide some information on your system. You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the dxdiag file into your reply. ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF Check your G-diffuser system! |
Fluro,
Denarus is right on. If you are seeing a 15GB download then close out of the launcher and open it up again. It shouldn't come up again. We're aware of the issue and are looking into it. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2721565353#2 ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF Check your G-diffuser system! |
Ethenger,
What kind of updates are you seeing? Are they the non-critical ones? ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF Check your G-diffuser system! |
Mauern,
I'm afraid you may have miss the point of Jeremy's post. Without information regarding the specific issue, we're not able to provide any advice or support. This thread has quickly become identical to the one Jeremy posted in previously so it will be locked as well. When asking for assistance on the technical support forum, please provide detailed information regarding your issue and the steps you have already tried. Quirk,
We're interested in seeing a trace route to the IPv6 servers if you could provide one. From a command or terminal window use the command provided below: 1. MS : tracert -6 ipv6.blizzard.com or tracert -6 2001:1890:e000:c01:dad3:85ff:fed9:ce24 2. Mac OS : traceroute6 ipv6.blizzard.com or traceroute6 2001:1890:e000:c01:dad3:85ff:fed9:ce24 3. Linux : traceroute6 ipv6.blizzard.com or traceroute6 2001:1890:e000:c01:dad3:85ff:fed9:ce24 I've included the command for other OSs if others would like to provide the information as well. ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF Check your G-diffuser system! |
Vulphara,
You can actually bypass WoW's check for IPv6 by adding the following in config.wtf: SET enableIPv6 "1" Could you give that a try to force the setting? Even though your setup seems quite common, you might have a case we haven't properly implemented in the IPv6 detection code. ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF Check your G-diffuser system! |
Good morning, and thank you for participating in IPv6 day!
The World of Warcraft client tries to detect a valid IPv6 address on your local computer, so if only your modem has it, it very probably won’t work. In order to help us troubleshooting, could you follow these steps on the computer you’re using, and give us the result back? Under Windows, go to the start menu, run, type “cmd” then enter. In the MS-Dos command prompt, type the command “ipconfig” Under MacOS, go to the spotlight, enter “terminal”, and execute that software. In the opened terminal, type the command “ifconfig” For privacy reasons, you may not want to fully copy/paste the IP addresses, but that’d be very helpful for troubleshooting. An IPv6 address looks like the following: 2a01:e0b:1:64:abcd:1234:5678:abcd What we really need is the first four numbers; in that example, that would be 2a01:e0b:1:64. So you can remove safely the second half. ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF Check your G-diffuser system! |

Pokzin,
The Blizzard Authenticators are based off modified Vasco tokens. I'm sorry to hear about RSA's troubles, but it will not affect the Blizzard Authenticator. ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF |

Calorie,
It sounds like a video issue. Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the dxdiag file (down to the "DirectX Components" section for XP, down to the "DirectShow Filters" section for Vista) into your reply. ________________________________________________ Technical Support Want to speak with someone directly? http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html How's my driving? https://www.surveymk.com/s/R5D3LCF |
