Naming and shaming

blizz -> wysłany:
What's so wrong about it? If you got proof that the person is a huge douchebag, then what is the problem?

Some people just deserve to be named and shamed to warn the community about them, because I don't think that the report system really does anything to them.
blizz -> wysłany:
The problem with Naming & Shaming is not every case is actually legitimate or accurate. People can, have have, wrongly been victims due to being named and shamed when they've actually done nothing wrong.

For example, a particular Rogue keeps beating Bob in battlegrounds, Bob goes to the forums and the trade chat on the Rogue's realm to accuse them of being a hacker - when the reality is Bob was just being outplayed.

Jane doesn't like a particular player on her realm, so starts to spread rumours saying that the player in question is a scammer. Eventually other players become wary of trading with that player.

Yes those are rather obtuse examples, but the point is - Bob's and Jane's view is only one side of the story, on the other side there are 2 other players potentially being negatively effected through no fault of their own.

That's not to say that scams and other such "less than savory" incidents never happen, but such incidents are best reported to our customer support department who have the means to fully investigate and take the appropriate course of action.
