Currently these guys have done a lot of hard work off of their own back, and people love what they have done with the old content on Nostalrius.
I personally would be willing to pay Blizzard for the content that they have created, through a separate $60 purchase, and monthly subscriptions for OLD content. That's right, old content, and I'm sure i'm not the only one.
Also, please look at how Jagex revived Runescape, that could push a few ideas.
