Battle.net World Championship: Follow the Action

blizz -> wysłany:

We’re just two weeks away from some truly amazing eSports action at the Battle.net World Championship in Shanghai, China. If you haven’t been following along thus far, you may have missed some key information, so let’s recap.

The Battle.net World Championship will host players from around the world who have played at the top of their game in StarCraft II and World of Warcraft Arena at a series of national and continental tournament events this year. The StarCraft II Global Finals will see the final 32 players battle it out for a prize pool of $250,000 and the honor of being crowned the 2012 StarCraft II Global Champion. At the same time, the fast and frenetic action of the World of Warcraft Arena Global Finals will be happening just yards away as the world’s top Arena teams fight for a prize pool of nearly $200,000.

When the full contingent of battle-hardened competitors arrives in Shanghai for the Battle.net World Championship, they'll be fired up to represent their respective countries in the spirit of international competition. It’s an event you won’t want to miss, and we’ll be streaming it live, for free, at the Battle.net World Championship website. Everything kicks off on the live stream at 2:30 a.m. CET Saturday, November 17, with the final matches slated to start at the same time the following evening.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’ll be featuring a live raid competition and Challenge Mode race between uber guilds Stars and Supreme Quicksand. Check out our recent article for more details.

We’ll have more Battle.net World Championship news to share with you over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for further updates.
