Top Two Arena Teams to Represent Europe at Battle.net World Championship

blizz -> wysłany:

The eight best arena teams in Europe recently battled it out in the 2012 European World of Warcraft Invitational at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. But only six of the 24 players are headed to Shanghai, China for the Battle.net World Championship!

The exciting tournament included some amazing matches, with impressive plays from the competitors. Team Microcity.Be’s Khuna turned out a thrilling victory against team Gold Memberz’s Karva under near impossible circumstances, and we saw some incredible healing done by Imminent Tomb D/C’s Glyptic just in the nick of time, keeping his team alive on terribly low health.

All eight teams put on impressive performances, but only two could be named winners. After losing to team Yaspresents earlier in the tournament, team I’m just being honest had an impressive 3-0 victory against Microcity.Be in the consolation bracket finals, putting them back in the game for the grand final match.

Pushing all the way through the winner’s bracket with amazing skill and team play, it was Yaspresents who would face off against I’m just being honest in the grand final. I’m just being honest fought hard, but Yaspresents took the win 3-0 without losing a single match to their opponents. The final match was over in the blink of an eye, and team Yaspresents (Another, Zunniyaki, and Câra) walked away with the winner’s trophy, $12,000 USD in prize money, and a trip to Shanghai to represent Europe in the Battle.net World Championship in November!

Yaspresents proved to be the best arena team in Europe, but coming in second isn’t bad either. Runners-up I’m just being honest (Blukstack, Boetar, and Swapxy) took home $7,500 USD in prize money, also winning a spot in the Battle.net World Championship.

We hope you enjoyed watching this amazing PvP action as much as we did. If you missed the 2012 European World of Warcraft Invitational, you can find the tournament’s Video on Demand on ESL’s TwitchTV channel.

Congratulations to Yaspresents and I’m just being honest – we look forward to seeing you at the Battle.net World Championship!
