My desktop has 44ms world and home. But when i try to play on my laptop, it has an outrageous 1500ms and unplayable internet lag.
I've checked my router and i just cant figure it out, both are connected wirelessly and the signal bar on the laptop is full strength.

The other posters here bring up some good points and tips. You might also try moving your laptop next to the wireless router and see if the latency changes. You can also get a third party program used to measure wireless activity and see if there are any other wireless networks in your area using the same or a nearby channel #.
