Aggra, the new Portuguese PvP realm. [Updated 14/12]

blizz -> wysłany:
Update: 14/12
In response to your feedback, in order to allow more players to join the Portuguese community on their dedicated realm Aggra (Português), we have decided to extend the Free Character Migrations (FCMs) to three additional realms.

Starting today, in addition to the existing open FCMs to Aggra (Português), you will also be able to move your characters from the following source realms:
- Argent Dawn (RP)
- Quel’Thalas (PvE)
- Silvermoon (PvE)

It is intended that these new FCMs and the already existing FCMs to Aggra (Português) will be closed on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

We continue to monitor the FCMs and the population of Aggra (Português) and we intend to add additional source realms for Free Character Migrations in January to allow even more players to join the Portuguese realm if they wish to. We will aim to advise you around a week prior to the opening of additional FCMs and at that stage will also state how long those FCMs will remain open.

We would like to thank you for all your comments and constructive feedback which has helped us in selecting these 3 new source realms and will continue to help us decide on which source realms we open in the future. So, if you think your realm would benefit from a Free Character Migration to Aggra (Português), then please let us know.

If you want learn more about the Free Character Migrations, you can read more about them and check out the FAQ in this blog article: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/3389806#blog

Every voice matters! We have read your posts, listened to what you said, discussed it once more, and changed our mind. Aggra will stay a PvP realm.

We still believe - no, we know - that a PvE realm gives new players a gentler (gank-free) entry into World of Warcraft than a PvP realm does. However, more important to newcomers enjoying their first steps in Azeroth is a thriving and welcoming community. Thus we naturally want to provide the veteran community with a new home they (you) are happy with. The feedback you have provided us shows that this home should be a PvP realm.

Additionally we would like to assure you that we do intend to open free migration to Aggra from more realms. Please note that we have to open migrations by realm, not by nationality, thus cycling through all realms with a significant Portuguese player base will take some time. We may adjust the length of the migration period based on the number of Portuguese players on each realm. Should we open an additional Portuguese realm in the future, it will most likely be PvE and allow free migration from Aggra for those who prefer to play on a PvE realm.

We would like to thank you all for your feedback, and for your passion and patience. Please do keep sharing your thoughts as we move forward. And be nice to the newcomers, ok?

Current Free Migrations from English realms to Aggra:
Argent Dawn (RP) - Cataclysm/Cataclysme Battlegroup
Burning Steppes (PvP) - Cruelty/Crueldad Battlegroup
Frostmane (PvP) - Misery Battlegroup
Grim Batol (PvP) - Misery Battlegroup
Quel'Thalas (PvE) - Frenzy/Raserei Battlegroup
Silvermoon (PvE) - Cyclone/Wirbelsturm Battlegroup

More migrations to come soon

Are you blind or just making fun of us?

We want to transfer from ALL realms!! not just the selected few! there are Portuguese players on EVERY REALM! How hard is it for you get that?!

We are not blind, and we are certainly not making fun of you either. Due to various limitations, we are not able to offer free migrations from all English realms at once as you would have liked.

As mentioned in our original post:
Please note that we have to open migrations by realm, not by nationality, thus cycling through all realms with a significant Portuguese player base will take some time.

Vaneras i just have one question, will Blizzard cycle through all the servers, to allow FCM to all the portuguese players? I dont mind waiting i just want to know, what are your intentions reguarding our community?

Will all of us get a chance to migrate to Aggra?

It is our intention to offer free migrations to as many Portuguese players as possible (We hope everybody) who would like to move their characters to Aggra. We cannot make this happen all at once though, and we will therefore have to cycle through all realms that have a significant Portuguese player base. There are quite a few realms that have Portuguese players on them, so it will unfortunately take some time.

Ok, seeing that RP realms are also being selected first over the PVP ones when it comes to FCM's, I already lost my faith in the possibility of migration. Sigh...

As mentioned before, we are cycling through all realms that have a significant Portuguese player base. Some realms have more Portuguese players than others, and those realms with the highest number of Portuguese players will in general be selected for migrations earlier than those with the lowest numbers of Portuguese players.

I can understand that you are frustrated, but rest assured that we have not forgotten about those of you who have characters on realms that are not yet open for free migrations.
