Ok, am I the only one who gets irritated when players use costumes in instances. If people are just messing around in the city, ok I am fine with costumes, its just that when players are in instances and use costumes. It REALLY annoys and offends me when a Worgen Death Knight has a costume of a freaking gnome scuba diver, and he just rushes through the instance. Players create a worgen character to be the strong guy of the instance. The whole idea of a tank wearing a gnome scuba costume or any other costume not only looks out of place, but its just ridiculous pointless, and just an outright insult to the lore concept of WoW. Seeing the image of a scuba gnome grinding through crowds in an instance is not funny or entertaining, its just stupid, insulting, and honestly it proves that the lore concept is no longer being taken into proper consideration. It's even more annoying in pvp. Again, I have no problem with costumes being used in towns, cities, or places were players just hang back and chill out. However, I think costumes should not be worn in an instance or pvp, or at the very least, make it so that players can't use their abilities and thus only wear costumes when they chill out. |

I believe that there are complaints of this nature every year regarding holidays, special events, or anything that causes any kind of change, really. There are always those that dislike when the game world changes, and feel inclined to express their opinion on the subject volubly. While all feedback is welcome, it is my opinion that costumes are fun and harmless. It seems to me that the vast majority of players enjoy playing around with them too. Personally, I think it's a fun change of pace. |
