Why do the forums exist?

The image the masses have of the forums atm(more specificly PVP/PVE and class forums) is that its one big pile of whiners who need to l2p, dont know what they are talking about, or are just plain trolling. Then every now and again one good topic pops up, yet it does nothing to improve the image of the forums. All they get is some appraising comments from the community for their effort, but nothing more. So i ask myself, why even try? Why waste so much time on something that will probably have absolutely no effect in the game? Moderation is lacks, trolls have multiplied, serious topics are not taken serious anymore. Perhaps we should simply remove every forum except the class and general forums. its more of a nuisance tbh.
Takralus	wysłany: 14 lat temu Well put, Katsuragi. The forums are vital, not only for people to discuss the game and share knowledge, but to allow us to gauge players' opinions on important matters.
Vaneras	wysłany: 14 lat temu You know Takralus, there is a very serious downside to you (Blizzard) using the forums for datamining. Since only a minority of your customers use these forums you can't actualy gauge anything. It should be mentioned that the forums are not the only place from where we gauge players' opinions :-)
