Item (etc) reverse lookup?

blizz -> wysłany:
I haven't actually tested this theory yet, but is it possible to request items, quests, achievements by their name rather than their ID?

I'm trying to manually update my guild's activity feed based off the results when I click my guild name's link - trying to make it so i can pull up my ui in one window and my website in another and just type in the info without having to go manually find the ID and have my update script go get it for me.

For example: The feed states "PlayerX earned the achievement Level 30 for 10 points", I'd like to just enter into my little form the player name, choose the action (looted, purchased item, earned achievement" and then list the name (level 30, saronite ore, etc).

Thoughts? Questions? Concerns?

No, we don't have any plans to implement anything like this at this time.
