New Player Tips is a recurring feature in which we ask World of Warcraft veterans to share their thoughts and advice for new adventurers on a variety of in-game topics.
This week's topic is: finding the guild for you
With the release of the new World of Warcraft Guild Finder, players have more options than ever when it comes to locating and integrating themselves into the scores of guilds that are recruiting worldwide. The World of Warcraft developers are working hard to improve guild culture and bring new opportunities for guild advancement and guild communications to the game.
To a new player, the guild landscape can seem intimidating. Your first steps into a major city can reveal previously unseen crowds of other players, with a seemingly different guild name attached to each. New players occasionally find invitations to guilds thrust upon them, sometimes without even a whisper of accompanying information. Chat channels teem with information about the different guilds. How are you supposed to decipher it all?
Maybe you can help a new player figure out what to do. As a veteran player, what tips would you give to help newcomers determine the right course of action in finding a guild?
See what players had to say last time about profession advice for PvP.
