Fact 1) A load of people find Cataclysm massively dissatisfying compared to prior expansions.
Fact 2) Blizzard is running out of content; instead of creating new content, they either jack ideas from outside or recycle old content. (FYI, patch 4.1 will include about 28 new invisible polygons in Ghostlands, about 2 square feet worth of photoshopped jpgs, and 300 lines of code)
Fact 3) According to certain statistics, the Blizzard userbase is declining
Fact 4) The ActiBlizz stock (ATVI) has not experienced ANY significant growth since summer '09.
Fact 5) Gathering from the limited data available for 2010 we can assume that only limited expansion has occured since then.
Fact 1) Not true... Back in WOTLK and anyother expantion there was allways the players who liked and the ones that didnt like... you just belong to the other side now, which is why you are having the impression of that. so its not a fact
Fact 2) Hardly... since "vanila" to WotLK you have beeen following a old lore from other warcraft series... that is why even though there was some revamps you knew allways where you were going to be... Blizzard now has to make new lore which takes time, needs to be decent and needs to pleasure players and keep them imersed in the game... so even if it seems like a reclycling of content, it is not... its just as the story goes... so its not a fact
Fact 3) the statistics you are talking about its as valid as a speedtest while downloading 5 torrents at same time... which means its wrong. Also as accurate as census in vanila after 5 minutes of use... which is basically none... so its not a fact
Fact 4) and? whats the point in this one sry? its a fact but its also a fact that strawberrys are red

regarding to the rest of your post, it really has no point...
if I recieve 5000$ a month and only need 1k to pleasure my chocolate needs why would I waste 2k? when i would just get bored of chocolate faster and waste more money? At least i tasted 1k of good chocolate... and I dont owe any explanations to anyone why I bought only 1k of chocolate!!!

Anyway... I would like to see the "TL'DR" based on your opinion on the subject (blizzard related not to my chocolate addiction) in a civil and polite manner...
Also I will add that from the yeards I play warcraft and not jsut WoW which is from begin, I see blizzard allways having a reason behind the choices their make and later on they turn to be alright and justified even if at the time they seem not...
The "Facts" above are based on my opinion and some researched data... and thats why I ask for yours =)
