Now how else are we supposed to get Maelstrom Crystals?

blizz -> wysłany:
Seriously Blizzard, you stink like a pair of stale and crappy pants. I wanted an enchant for my weapon that required Maelstrom Crystals. I wasn't willing to pay the insane amounts of gold that they were going for on the auction houses, so I just finished levelling a mage with alchemy and enchanting in order to disenchant the alchemist stones so I could at least get 1 crystal to enchant my weapon with and help provide my guild with a few they could use themselves. No sooner is she capable of producing them you go and break it!

You've left us at the mercy of running raids whether we like them or not, hoping we got an enchanter in the group, hoping that the raid leader isn't gonna bark out "epic crystals reserved", and that we'll get lucky in winning the roll for it, or paying a hefty amount of gold for one off the auction house.

Good going Blizzard, not. You've ruined this game totally for casual players. I'm gonna go back on the hunt for a more entertaining game. This expansion has taken all the fun out of the game and made it into one limiting and tiresome grind, and I'm obviously not the only player who feels the burn and frustration from this expansion.

It's been like this for, what, the past four years?

You had to disenchant epixxx to get Void Crystals back in BC. You needed Void Crystals for enchants.

You had to disenchant epixxx to get whatever shards back in Wrath. You needed those for enchants.

And you're complaining about this NOW?
Dude, you're 4 years too late for that.

It seems pretty much like this. Just because an unintended Maelstrom Crystal factory production method was brought to a halt, doesn't mean the usual way to obtain the materials for high level enchants from the past few years has changed.

We hear the cries of disappointment or rage and we do empathise; it's unfortunate that it worked out like this, but we didn't intend for Maelstrom Crystals to be so easily procured.

I`m sorry, but the situation with epic crystals are not the same for 4 years

1 - in BC you can dissenchant the epic from Heroic dungeon end boss

2 - in WotLK you can dissenchant the epic from Heroic dungeon end boss

3 - in Cata - there are no more epics from HC end bosses - this makes the crystals much more difficult to obtain

Now one might think you're just being facetious! Yeah sure, we made getting epics a little trickier in Cataclysm too. Still, it is the same method to get the high end enchanting mats.

Let's see how things are as more time progresses; it would seem just a day or so after the change may just be a little too soon to start jumping to conclusions. At the moment though, if we had wanted the crystals to be as obtainable as they were before this change was made, we'd have left it as it was. It would seem we are content with it being a little trickier to get them. Maybe in time you'll be swimming in crystals, which to be frank sounds as painful as it'd be convenient.
