I think this merits a Blizzard representative response. Why am I forced to play with horrible people who I want nothing to do with? Why would you penalize the people who took the 10 minutes required to learn to play their classes and actually bother to contribute in battlegrounds?
Not only do I consider it preposterous in pricinple that I have to carry people who do not deserve to win, but it's offensive that I can't play with the people I want to play with. I have taken great pride in terrorizing pugs to the full degree possible recently as my own personal "petition" so to speak of this ridiculous policy. For every game I lose due to keyboard turning mental invalids, I tally it up and repay it with five games of absolute menace in turn. Really, does everything need to be boiled down to the lowest common denominator? |

The last time I checked, I wasn't forced to play with anyone, and I am free to seek out similarly skilled and like-minded players. If your guild doesn't satisfy your needs in this regard, perhaps you can create a PvP team or a more PvP oriented guild of your own. While assembling your own group may take some time, you may ultimately find it much more rewarding. After all, we do provide social tools so players can band together to accomplish goals together. At the very least, you might find it less frustrating? I know creating abusive and pointless forum posts can take up a lot of time, but that energy could be directed somewhere constructive. |

I'm well aware of how the game works and I didn't miss the point. You don't get to change what the point of a post was eight pages into the thread. I'm also keenly aware of how some members of the community will try to turn a post around and twist the topic of the thread long after the thread was written to seem as though they were discussing a different topic, and were smugly right all along. I'll offer you the option to re-read Cy's original post:
That post was not about how battlegrounds allow a maximum of 5 grouped players. This post was quite clearly about poor play in battlegrounds, and how an experienced player is 'forced' to deal with it. It was written in a inappropriately condescending manner and received a response commensurate with the attitude it expressed. As it is now possible to play battlegrounds in a group composed solely of team members, if one really can't tolerate playing with strangers, there is an option. Restricting one's play solely to rated battlegrounds might not be the best competitive option, but it is an option. If you want a thread about queuing limitations and how they could be better adjusted for PvP guilds, then I suggest creating a constructive thread to discuss the matter in the appropriate forum. |

Actually I don't know your intent. I am, despite my avatar, not psychic, and I responded to the tone and content of what you actually wrote, not what you hoped to write. I'm going to lock this thread because I see it devolving into an argument, and that's not what I'm here to do. I'm sorry if you believe that constructive posts are futile. I assure you that isn't the case, and as I stated in my previous post, I welcome you to create a constructive thread on the subject in the appropriate forum for it. |
