Race Change Question still unanswered.

I know you guys finally gave us the great news of the new race changes being available immediately, but I thought I read somewhere that the new race/class combinations would be available at 4.0.3. Will we be able to do paid race changes for those immediately as well?

Good timing! Bornakk just recently commented on this (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1116854#blog):

Changing to the new race/class combos will also be available once Cataclysm is released on December 7th. There will be a period of time between the Shattering and the launch of Cataclysm where the new combos can be created but not changed into. As with everything, this could change.



So, while you will be able to create, let's say, a dwarf shaman or a tauren paladin just after the shattering, you will be unable to change an existing character into any of the new race/class combinations using the Race Change service until Cataclysm is released.

Should this structure at all change, we'll be sure to let you know. :)

I believe that sort of wizardry would require a Flux Capacitor, the Arrow of Apollo, and maybe an eye of newt.

Will this be the same as for when Goblins and Worgen come out?

If i buy a race change NOW will i be able to just save it and use it on DEC 7th to change to a goblin?



I've been told that if you buy a race change now you can simply wait until the new race/class combos are available to use it. I don't see why that wouldn't also apply to goblin/worgen, but I haven't seen specific confirmation.

If it's comforting, when you click the button to change race you can actually cancel out and not use it. When you click on the button you're not forced to use the race change request right then and there. In any case I guess my point is you could cancel out and seek further assistance.
