Tune In June 2–3 for the WoW Arena Championship: North American Qualifier Cup 2

blizz -> wysłany:

The WoW Arena World Championship Summer Season continues on Twitch this weekend with the North American Cup Qualifier #2. We’ve got all the information you need on where to watch and which teams to keep an eye on during the competition.

Supatease’s MVP from NA Cup #1

After the first NA Cup, we caught up with Sid “Supatease” Compston to get his thoughts on who impressed him the most during the first Cup #1.

MVP: Pikaboo - The Move

The Move won the 1st NA Summer Cup off a 5th place finish in the Spring Season, and Supatease pointed to Pikaboo as the clinching factor that sealed the deal. The only team to challenge The Move was Method Orange, who led the grand finals 2–1 after 3 maps.

According to Supatease, “Despite Method Orange’s best efforts to shut Pikaboo down, he still found a way to be effective and carry his team to victory.” The series ended in a tightly fought 4–3. You can find the complete set of games to watch Pikaboo at his best here..

The Move:

  • Pikaboo – Rogue
  • Absterge – Shaman
  • Wizk – Priest
  • Jellybeans – Hunter

Honorable Mention: Cdew – Method Orange

In their series against Kaska’s Angels, the members of Method Orange were able to achieve a 3–0 sweep, locking themselves into the grand finals. Method had previously found Jungle cleave [Feral Druid / Marksmanship Hunter / Discipline Priest] challenging. They employed an all-in aggressive strategy to win the series, with Cdew running a pair of assertive talents: Adaptation and Spirit Link.

“Cdew’s ability to change between defensive and offensive play on the flip of a dime is something we rarely see, and a mark of a truly great player,” said Supatease, explaining why Cdew earned the honorable mention nod. The series can be found here

Method Orange:

  • Cdew – Restoration Shaman / Restoration Druid
  • Trill – Windwalker Monk / Outlaw Rogue / Arms Warrior
  • Mes – Death Knight
  • Samiyam – Balance Druid / Elemental Shaman
