The Arena World Championship summer season continues this weekend on Twitch with the European Cup Qualifier #2. We’ve got all the information you need on where to watch and who to keep an eye on this weekend. Healingstat’s MVP from EU Cup #1After the first European Cup we sat down with Adrian "Healingstat" Archer-lock to get his thoughts on who impressed him the most during the first weekend of competition. MVP: Whaazz - Method Black (EU) In the past, Method Black have been quite reliant on their Rogue/Mage composition with Raiku. Whaazz has been stepping up learning multiple classess and specs to incorporate Swapxy into their roster. He's been successful playing around Swapxy, showing off his warrior and Outlaw rogue in the previous cup. On the topic of Outlaw rogues, Whaazz has been the connoisseur of this specialization. He's shown his innovation and ability to make big plays on the spec. He has also motivated other rogues in the European region to play Outlaw, such as Niksi on Tempo Storm. Honorable Mention: Jaime - Tempo Storm Jaime came in relatively late into the Tempo Storm roster. Despite this, he has integrated quickly and looks to be the final puzzle piece on the team, placing 4th in the first Cup. The 2017 BlizzCon Champions seemed to be struggling to adapt with Minpojke in place of Asgarath, ranking 6th for the Spring Season and not making it to the Spring Finals. Jaime brings his top tier Elemental shaman which allows Minpojke to play what he is most known for, Restoration druid. Additionally, Jaime can play other melee which combines with Niksi quite well. I'm excited to see the new Tempo Storm's performance for the remainder of the season. Honorable Mention: Gelubaba - Reformed Reformed placed 1st at the Spring Finals playing their strong Jungle cleave, leaving Gelubaba on the bench. The hidden member of this roster, Gelubaba, hasn't had the opportunity to shine during the past season. He's going to be a huge part of their roster when the meta shifts the rest of the year and going on into Battle for Azeroth. In Summer Cup #1 he already showed his worth coming in against Tempo Storm during the Lower Semi-Finals. Gelubaba's team called upon him and he performed. He stood up winning all 3 games he played, narrowly eliminating Tempo Storm 3-2 in the series. The team's confidence in his Mage play bodes well for the team; Being able to play Rogue/Mage and Jungle Cleave at their level poses them as a huge threat in future tournaments.
