Why would it be such a big deal if the High Elves were added to the Alliance?
Both factions have had Pandaren for more than half a decade, which are literally the exact same race and there have been no issues with faction identity, being able to distinguish one from the other.
If both factions can have humanoid pandas that are identical to one another except for ideology, then both factions can have tall, fair-skinned, elegant elves with no issue.
