I have been plagued with performance issues and slow loading porting to Dalaran, to my class hall, to the Vindicaar and I'm not alone. Assets slow loading, vanishing when mounting, spent hours, into days trying to fix this going through addons, fresh installs etc.
How did I fix it in the end?
Transferred my character to the 7.3.5 PTR!!!!! ALL problems vanished.
The forums have numerous posts both US & EU on these issues for months and the blue response is to blame player system performance or our network and make us jump through hoops fixing something we can't!
Dalaran was heavily populated, as much so if not more than my regular server. I also copied across my addons when testing to rule out for a further time that these are not the root cause of the problem.
IF CRAMMING US ALL INTO THE SAME SPACES ISN'T WORKING, STOP DOING IT!
Even with latency 8 times higher than normal I can't believe how much of a difference it made!!!!
