Same title. I hope this (for me important) topic will not get closed, without mentioning a reason. Guys and girls, if you really want to understand me and my feelings, don't say I'm a troll. That not nice, as You want to get heared too, if you feel bad. For whatever reason...
Interesting how many people responded and I read a few replies, which I want to summarize:
1. "It's not real, it's just virtual."
Well just because it's not real, it doesn't mean I can or I want to shut my feelings off. Would it be morally okay in a virtual reality to have black slaves? or worse sick stuff, like killing children? Just because it is "not real"? Isn't it sick to produce such a computer game and should be punished or taken off the market? We slowly grow out of speciesism, as we grew out of racism and I recommend blizzard to adjust to this social change. I don't want my children to play games, where I need to kill animal-kittens to make soup out of them. Or take animal-brain out. For me this is sick. You should overthink your arguments... Is it okay to kill people in dreams? Dreams are not real but FEEL very real, when you are inside. WoW feels real for me, when I play it. We can't even say for sure, that THIS reality is real. Do we count them as real just because it is consistent? Or because it feels real? Then my feelings should be taken seriously too, if you want your feelings to be taken seriously, as it is my reality.
I hope to cultivate a discussion atmosphere of true will of comprehension and respect to each others world-views, which are obviously different. I just want my feelings and other vegan/vegetarian peoples feelings to get heared and be taken seriously. I love this game and want to play it in harmony with my world-view. My request is MORE VEGAN-FRIENDLY GAMING CONTENT (read first post in link above). The world slowly wakes up and starts to realize, that the lack of quality of our food is our main ill-maker.
2. "Plant are living beings too, how can you be so hypocritical?"
Wow, that tone... Please let's be more kind to each other and try to understand before we judge. I don't see my worldview as an absolute one, I grown out of the illusion, that we live in a objective reality. My request is (as I said in the first post) highly subjective and emotional. I don't see/hear plants screaming out of pain, I do hear animals screaming out of pain, when I'm confronted with their products, as I know (from video-footage), that animals obviously suffer. As I saw much video-footage of slaughter houses and other brutal scenes. I cannot tell you if plants feel pain, maybe they do, but I feel less sad, when I eat plant-based food, so again, it is a subjective feeling, I want to play in harmony with.
3. "okay with killing humans, but not with animals?"
Of course I don't like killing. No matter what. I would rather lock the bad people in jail, if it would be possible in WoW and try to heal them from their will to produce chaos and fears... But that's not possible in WoW. In seldom cases death-penalty is okay too I would say, but WoW is a slaughter-house. Maybe there is a way of living peacefully with most non-aggressive animals and respect their will of life too. But we are so egoistic, think that this world belongs to us, just because we are smarter. Maybe this post moves something towards more vegan friendly content, a vegan class maybe or so... =)
4. "We are meat-eaters, we are carnivores" and other belief-systems.

We are biologically not made for eating meat, in the above link is a scientific proof for that. But I don't want this discussion to become a "become vegan"-topic. I just want to shout out, that if it goes on like this, Blizzard will not grow in long term. And if it doesn't grow, it de-evolves, which is not in interest of any company... Maybe we get heared and more vegan friendly content will be made. It is a heart-issue, which limits my gaming experience, as killing animals is almost everywhere, even in virtual food in WoW...
