I believe this download was in the neighbor hood of 300 M/b, I could be incorrect. Anyway the download was reported as complete and playable. Started wow and realms are still down, so i found that playable was false. also dropping firewall may increase the speed of download if anyone is interested. WAITING BLIZZARD!
Just as a note, the scheduled end time for the maintenance has been 2pm PDT since its announcement. Don't know where people are getting the 11am/12pm times from.
This is visible in the launcher and on @BlizzardCS. I'm glad you can backseat develop, but no. |

If maintenances were as simple as uploading a patch, perhaps. |

Yeah, sorry. Someone spilled the coffee this morning so we're waiting on the repair guy to get in and fix the switch. Of all days for this to happen... |

You don't really deserve a response, but I'll give you one since I have nothing else to do til the game is live.Just as a note, the scheduled end time for the maintenance has been 2pm PDT since its announcement. Don't know where people are getting the 11am/12pm times from. Never said I wasn't a "glorified CSR" and I never said I was a "developer", but I do have the experience of watching maintenances at multiple gaming studios and know that its not as simple as "turning the servers back on". If you'd like to attack my job though, which it seems you know nothing about, I'm not really sure you're in the right place. :) |

For sure - I don't really think its something to brag about, but I also dont think I've done that personally. From my understanding this is the largest content patch we've ever implemented - so I'd think some extra time with testing and such is in order. As someone who has played since early on, the notion of us implementing such a large update makes sense for there to be a few extra precautions (as I'm sure most of the community would agree with).Just as a note, the scheduled end time for the maintenance has been 2pm PDT since its announcement. Don't know where people are getting the 11am/12pm times from. In a perfect world we would want the servers to be up ASAP, but I think the realistic expectation should always be that the servers will be up by the end of our given time-frame, and nothing more. If it were to be extended beyond that, then we'd definitely be a bit more forthcoming on these things, but for now this is where we stand. Servers will be up soon™. |

The launcher says 2:00 PM (PDT) for me. Are you seeing 2:00 PM EST? If so, can you provide an image? |

Yeah, that's the hardest thing. When folks are waiting for the button to be clickable on patch day it's hard to set expectations before the flood gates open....For sure - I don't really think its something to brag about, but I also dont think I've done that personally. But no worries! Not trying to be mean or rude here purposefully, just want to make sure we can defend ourselves at the same time (which can be hard on patch days when people come in to roll over us because things aren't going exactly as they want :P). See you in 7.2! o/ |
