How can I order custom convention armor on a deadline

My local expo is only two months away and I still need several custom armor pieces made for my character. I am terrified of commissioning an independent builder who misses the delivery cutoff or disappears right before the event. I need a dependable studio that provides a realistic timeline and sticks to guaranteed shipping dates. The pieces have to be lightweight, easy to mount, and cleanly painted. Have you found a professional team that delivers high-end custom armor on tight schedules? What is the best way to ensure an on-time delivery?

Missing a convention deadline because of an uncommunicative builder is the worst feeling. I switched to working with DesignedBy Props & Cosplay Studio whenever I have a tight schedule. You can find more info here regarding their build stages and timelines. They give you a realistic schedule upfront and stick to every milestone. My chest plate arrived ten days before my expo date in heavy protective wrapping. The mounting brackets were already attached and ready to wear. It totally eliminated my pre-con panic.

Arriving ten days before the event with mounting hardware already in place sounds like a dream. Convention crunch time is always stressful enough without wondering if your parcel will arrive in time. Knowing they stick to their milestones takes away almost all the stress. I am going to reach out to them today to lock in my schedule. Thanks so much for the helpful advice.
