Hello Grigdut,
The subject was discussed pretty recently here. Of course the final price on the Auction House is a decision of a player that sells the stuff. In some cases it may be a mistake. In some other they may just want to push the price up by trying to sell at rather insanely high price (it is to set expectations higher) and later lower price down to just rather high price. In most of the cases however the price is simply accepted this way because people wish to level up their profession quickly. If you want something quickly you hardly care about the gold during that time. Still if too many players would have been using gathering professions at some point and there would be just a few crafters, the prices should be back to how you expect them to be. Simply materials would by default get cheaper, if too many players would be collecting them. It may even happen now with many players getting back to game to level the allied races. Gathering professions like mining or herbalism give some extra experience in game and it can help a bit with the leveling process. |
Greetings Bosparan,
You created a really nice summary of the profession changes over the years. Glad to see that you like the direction it has taken lately. In case of the future changes it is of course always good to check what is in plan already (thanks Zumajin for providing the reference - it is greatly appreciated), yet it may also be great to pass it to the game developers. Especially for the fact that you did prepare it in such clear way. You can pass the ideas in game this way: Esc -> Help -> Submit Suggestion In any case, feel free to discuss the subject here on a forum. I just did not want you to miss the opportunity of passing those suggestion directly where they can be put into action. |
Greetings Kungpaw,
You can start gathering anywhere you like. All of the gathering professions were reworked in Warlords of Draenor. So all the content from Warlords of Draenor and before will provide you with some pieces of the whole item (like broken pieces of herbs, chunks of ore, scraps of skin) that you can exchange 10 to 1 into normal version of the same resource. In Legion it got even better. All the Legion resources can be gathered without that partial penalty. So you get the complete versions of all the materials right away even if your skill in gathering is still close to zero. The gathering quests are of course helpful, yet they are not locking you out of the specific material source. They are also not locked out by the level of your gathering profession, so you can get the Legion profession quest while gathering before you get anywhere near the legion profession level. Hope that you like those changes ;) |
Hello Akaeta,
You approach is not bad yet you do have a few more options. Most of them are listed in the guide on wowhead. Yet there are a few more possibilities listed by one of our players in the comment below, like for example feeding all 3 NPCs in Shal'aran on daily basis or using Kirin Tor emissary quest reward for this particular faction. You may also want to check the missions in your class hall to not miss the one for the Nightfallen reputation tokens. |
Hi Esploratore,
The 4th point from your ideas, about the Real ID, may be a perfectly valid and innocent reason. Just it does not need to be related with any ban. You can check the privacy options on your account. If you got "Enable Real ID" marked and decide to turn it off, you will suddenly lose all your friends that were connected this way (after you submit the changes). It may have been intended change or was could be triggered by checking the possible options, yet it would exactly cause this kind of sudden removal from the Friend List as you described. In this case I would not take it personally if I were you. |
Hi Thovihunter,
Congratulations on your 1st legendary indeed! Took me about 2 months to see my 1st ;) Glad to see that it works way faster now. You may expect one more quite soon as well. From the 3rd one it may take a bit longer. It is to guarantee players to have max number of legendary items as soon as possible (you can equip max 2). Yet with the current system even collecting the all available legendary items is perfectly possible now. |
Thank you for sharing your unique recipe with us Chrisanthemo.
However as the topic is over 6 years old I will close it already. Of course feel free to discuss the recipes in a new thread. |
Greetings dear moonkin "fans"!
If you would like to leave the "fun-club" by any chance, please do consider one of the following: - queue for time-walking dungeon that is currently active - queue for any Battleground As soon as you get there, the "buff" should be cleared. If that would happen to not work in your case, you may wait until it expires or contact Customer Support as the last resort. PS. Please no roasting of the little moonkins! |
Hello Tawenimi,
Mining at this point is indeed a bit challenging. You should still get skill-up points from mining nodes around Broken Isles or Argus once in a while. Highest chance is from Leystone Seam, Felslate Seam and Empyrium Seam. Still at this skill level all of them have just a chance to provide a skill-up. There are however some alternatives left for you that guarantee a skill-up: - Mining World Quests to gather Infernal Brimstone +1 point - Darkmoon Faire quest Rearm, Reuse, Recycle +5 points Both options are time limited so keep an eye for the active mining World Quests and for the time when Darkmoon Faire is up. Hope that it will help you max your mining skill soon enough. |
Hello Goldenfyre,
From my perspective the inscription is still pretty useful for at least a few reasons: - Tome of the Tranquil Mind - Codex of the Tranquil Mind (improved version of the Tome - works for everyone in the short range area) - Vantus Runes You can check a more complete list in this guide. I hope that you will find some more useful items on the list. If not, you can check some other professions, yet in my humble opinion inscription is far from being useless. Especially for the high end content when you try to prepare for the guild progress encounter (for example Mythic Raids content). |
In theory you may enter the Greater Invasion Point more than once a week.
Yet you will still get a loot this way only once a week. So while you may help your friends once you are done, it won't give you more rewards from the boss, same week. Some more info about it here. You can also check the WoWhead or Icy Veins guides about it. |
You can send Nightfallen Insignia and the Greater Nightfallen Insignia as soon as you hit the exalted status with this faction on the character that earned the insignia.
You can send them to any character on your account (both factions). Hope it may help a bit. |
