Sorry, referencing classic cinema is always my favorite cliche. :)
I've noticed a positive and very enjoyable trend lately, and wanted to just stick my nose in here to tip my cap to our forum moderators, GMs, and other Blizzard people.
When I started WoW several years ago, I had some limited interaction with GMs and always found the experience to be ... well, stale. They talked (typed?) from a script, had no personality, and painted a picture of some cublicle monkey sitting behind the opposite screen watching the clock for lunch.
This trend has taken a drastic turn for the better lately, which is why I am here today.
Blizzard posters have become humorous, sarcastic, and very very personable over the last year or so. GM responses have become very creative at times, to the point where I read them out loud to my wife for a kick, and other users are even posting their interactions on the forums. Then, moments after the latest GM chuckle I read a post from our friend Nethaera that is riddled with humorous sarcasm (not the negative kind, either - it was genuinely funny). Top all of that off with the whole "Red Shirt Guy" incident from Blizzcon and the humorous and witty Blizzard response to that, and my attitude toward the Blue posters and GMs has turned a complete 180! (Thought about throwing in the 360 joke there, but I detest trolls :) )
So, thank you Blizzard for changing the way you interact with your customers. My opinion of you has gone from boring cubicle monkey to "hey! they're all nerds just like the rest of us!" So hats off to you my friends, and I shall drink a Mtn Dew in your honor tonight while enjoying the heck out of the new content that you have absolutely outdone yourselves on! Keep it up, you've turned me into a Blizzard customer for life.
