Upcoming 8.3.7 ptr update” wysłany:

A new build will be coming to the Public Test Realm (PTR) this week and will only contain non-player facing changes that are required for Shadowlands. We wanted to provide an advance notice that there won’t be any new features to be tested in this build.

**upcoming pvp tuning changes**” wysłany:

In related news, we currently have a bug that is causing Gladiator’s Spite to stack faster than intended. We’re working on a fix for it right now.

**upcoming pvp tuning changes**” wysłany:

We’re working on a set of PvP tuning changes that should go live this week. This is what we’re currently testing:

Items

  • Corrupted Gladiator’s Spite can once again stack more quickly when multiple Corrupted Gladiator’s Spite trinkets are used against a target.
  • Void Portal summoned by Corrupted Gladiator’s Breach is now slightly larger and easier to interact with when there are nearby units.

Corruption Effects

  • Versatile’s effectiveness has been reduced by 33% when engaged in combat with enemy players.

Azerite Essences

  • Reaping Flames (Major – Rank 3) no longer activates on player-controlled targets such as pets, totems, or guardians.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented Conflict and Strife (Major – Rank 2) effect from providing additional defensive benefit from versatility under the effects of certain class stuns.

Monk

  • Mistweaver
    • Chrysalis (PvP Talent) now reduces the cooldown of Life Cocoon by 25 seconds (was 45 seconds).

As always, we’ll let you know if there are any further changes to be made, or adjustments to those above, and we’ll report the final live changes in our Hotfixes Update.

Thanks!

Fist of Justice Hotfix Coming Soon” wysłany:

We’ve reviewed the various interactions at play in this situation and decided against making a change at this time. Thank you for your feedback.

In an upcoming Shadowlands Alpha build, Blood Elves and Void Elves will be receiving some new customization options that some of you may be interested in . We wanted to give you an early look at a few of these new options available to the two races, with the first being several shades of blue eyes to choose from.

Void Elf blue eyes on top, Blood Elf blue eyes on bottom

Additionally, Blood Elves will have the option to choose from a variety of new skin colors and Void Elves will inherit the skin color options that are available to Blood Elves. Here’s a glimpse of the potential characters that you can create with some of the new options.

New Blood Elf Customization Options

New Void Elf Customization Options

This is just a sneak peek some of the many customization options coming to your characters in Shadowlands! We look forward to seeing all the creations that you come up with in the future.

While we work through the final steps of bringing Corruption Effects to MOTHER’s vendor list, we decided to leave the Impressive Influence reputation buff active in all regions.

The buff will now expire on the evening of Thursday May 21.

Enjoy!

In Shadowlands, players will ally with one of four Covenants, each granting unique powers, abilities, and other benefits to aid them on their dangerous journey through the realms of death.

Flying Update in Shadowlands” wysłany:

With the major changes coming to leveling characters from 10-50 in Shadowlands, we want to make sure that there is a navigational parity among all of the different expansions you can choose while questing. In the next version of the Shadowlands Alpha that will appear this week, testers are going to see an intentional change coming to Shadowlands for a couple of older Pathfinder achievements.

Specifically, the flight training rewards from Draenor Pathfinder and Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two will no longer be required for flying in Draenor or Broken Isles content. These will now be granted at level 30 with expert flying.

The achievements will remain in place as before, and Draenor Pathfinder will still be the way to earn the Soaring Skyterror mount, while Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One will continue to reward increased mount speed in the Broken Isles.

Thank you very much!

Shadowlands Developer Update” wysłany:

The whole team has been hard at work transforming the vision we laid out for Shadowlands into a reality, and we can’t wait to share our progress in the upcoming alpha.

Building on a great deal of feedback and discussion, we’re working on an update to the game. With the next regularly-scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, players who have earned a given Rank 3 Essence on one character will be able to directly obtain that Essence from MOTHER on any subsequent characters.

When playing an alt character that is missing Essences that have already been earned on a different character, most ordinary Visions of N’Zoth activities, such as Horrific Visions, Assaults, raid bosses, Mythic Keystone Dungeons, or BFA Season 4 PvP, will award a new soulbound currency – Echoes of Ny’alotha. These Echoes can be brought to MOTHER in the Heart Chamber, and exchanged directly for eligible Rank 3 Essences. While ordinarily each specific Essence must be learned in order to unlock it for other characters via MOTHER, all Essences associated with Nazjatar and Mechagon reputations will be available if any other different character has earned any of the Essences available from that reputation.

Our goal with this update is to preserve the efforts that players put into unlocking a given Essence through its associated activity the first time, while offering subsequent characters far more flexibility in pursuing that goal. We’ll have additional details in a forthcoming hotfixes update that goes out around the same time as maintenance, but we wanted to let the community know ASAP that this change is in the works.

As always, thank you for all your feedback on this topic!

Class Balance Changes – February 26, 2020” wysłany:

We’re working on a series of hotfixes to adjust class balance. We currently plan to implement the following changes with weekly maintenance (the morning of February 26 in this region):

    • Efflorescence now costs 17% base mana (from 21.6%).
    • Tranquility direct healing increased 11%.
      • Developers’ notes: These changes should improve Restoration Druid’s raid healing output, without much impact to their already strong capabilities in dungeons and Arenas.

  • Monk Windwalker
    • Damage of all abilities increased by 5%. Damage unchanged in PvP.

    • Death Strike now heals for a minimum of 3.5% of maximum health when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 7%).

    • Demon Armor now increases Armor by 90% (was 150%).

We’re working on a set of hotfixes to the game that should streamline upgrading your Legendary cloak via Horrific Visions.

  • Coalescing Visions now drop in higher numbers from Assaults and Daily Quests.
  • The Unique(5) inventory cap on Vessel of Horrific Visions has been removed, allowing you to carry as many Vessels as you like.
  • Up to 4 Torn Pages of “Fear and Flesh” quest items can now drop in Horrific Visions from objectives on the rank 7-11 Legendary cloak upgrade quests (was a max of 2).
    • You’ll need to clear more than two sides areas in one run to get more than two pages. The rank 13-15 quests will still drop a max of 2 pages, only from Lost Area objectives.

These updates will go into effect with weekly maintenance (Wednesday, February 26 in this region).

We’re aware of and working on a number of issues with the new Auction House:
• The Upgrades Only filter can show some wands and shields that are not upgrades.
• While selling certain items, non-related pets will sometimes appear in the list of current auctions.
• Players are sometimes unable to buy out an auction in which they are the highest bidder.
• Sold auction rows can disappear from the Auctions tab.
• Sold auction rows can display the wrong quantity sold.
• There is no chat notification when an auction sells.
• The Uncollected filter can show owned battle pets.
• While selling a caged pet, the price columns are misaligned in the list of current auctions.

• Some players have experienced attempting to cancel an auction that has bids enabled, but no bids yet, and receiving an incorrect warning that they will be charged an extra 5% penalty. This penalty message is only meant to be shown if there’s an active bid on your auction. If there is not an active bid, you can safely proceed with canceling, and the penalty won’t be applied.

We’ll continue to investigate all of the above and develop fixes wherever possible. If you’re experiencing any issue with the new Auction House, we suggest you first disable your addons and try again.

Thank you!

Shaman change removed from visions of n’zoth” wysłany:

Hello.

Just confirming for you that this was previously in the Visions of N’Zoth content update notes …

Shaman

Elemental

  • Primal Elementalist (Talent) will now have individual auto-cast settings saved per pet.

… and is no longer there. We had to revert this change to deal with a bug.

We’ll hopefully get it working in the future.

We’re seeing some confusion on how to unlock mechagnomes, we have applied a change this evening and want to take a moment to clarify the process. First off, the following achievements need to be completed on any character on the same account:

  • Rustbolt Rebellion
  • The Mechagonian Threat

If you have done these achievements on any Alliance character(s), you can head to the Alliance Embassy in Stormwind on that character and start the unlock questchain with Aysa Cloudsinger and accepting the quest “Urgent Care”.

If you have done these achievements on a Horde character, you will then need to login on a level 120 Alliance character.

  • If this character has already completed the Mechagon Island intro questline that ends with the quest “Welcome To The Resistance”, then the character can head to the Alliance Embassy in Stormwind and pick up the quest “Urgent Care” from Aysa Cloudsinger to start the Allied Race unlock questline.
  • If this character has not unlocked Mechagon Island, you can head to the Alliance Embassy in Stormwind and Gila Crosswires will have the quest “Fame Waits For Gnome One” which will lead the character through the Mechagon Island unlock process which then leads to the mechagnome unlock questline. If you are in this situation, you will not need to go to Nazjatar.

We are also currently in the process of resolving a bug that is affecting the Allied Race banner UI and causing additional confusion, but in the meantime the steps outlined above should help unlock the mechagnomes for those who qualify.

Thank you for your understanding!
