Greetings,
On one of the servers I play on there is someone who is very active on the AH. Aren't we all...
We all have our strategies and our niche markets and some profitable (and some not so) areas.
However this one guy must spend his entire WoW experience in the AH, crafting and dealing. I cannot imagine that with the sheer volume of items he has for sale that there is time left over for much else.
Ok, this in itself is not such a problem but where it seems to reach a level of abuse is with market manipulation.
Now this in itself is also not a bad thing but as I mentioned earlier it is the extent to which he is doing it.
I suspect that he has enough cash reserves to stomach the odd loss of 5000g here or 10000g there so his strategy seems to me more like AH abuse than simple use.
Buy up all mats for levelling professions then put them back up for 10x the market rate. This is just gambling imho. Loose 10k on Jewel Crafting parts, 5k on Inscription and then make 20k on Alchemy and Blacksmith parts.
This means that people with limited funds can't make progress in their chosen professions... And this happens mostly on weekends...
He then obviously has lots of stock to hold (which is even more time consuming to deal with!) so you see his name everywhere, just everywhere, on the AH.
Anything to do about this or just grin and bear it?
(just for the record, he's just a slight irritation to me as I work around him but have heard many aggravated comments in chat.)
