Blizzcon 2014, from a WoW player prospective, what is the point ? since starting Warcraft so many years ago, this will be the first Blizzcon I will actually have no vestige interest in!
I certainly won't be buying a ticket of any sort, any snippet of news will be available on the webby in seconds, last years left me exited, then deflated, then feeling betrayed! player housing went from YEEEEEEEEES to daily quest hub, from we are a lot further into development to......just play the same old same old for another year.
Will Warlords be released by then ? or will we have the laughable situation of them announcing the same game twice ?
Charity ? it's a good thing but they could have raised more by doing a number of dinners!

So how will it go down in history ? Masterstroke or financial disaster ?
Holding back on Warlords beta and information while getting Hearthstone and D3 established!
Unless your blind or death it was hard to miss, yet overlooked by so many!
Blizzcon 2013, yes all those months ago, gave those attending a chance to play parts of the game and had Blizzard saying " we are a lot further along in development than we expected to be "
Any who jumped into MOP beta, could see that the Warlords game play was at the same stage, it looked and felt like the first month in Jade forest.
Would a January beta have effected HS & D3 ? you bet your life it would have.
Blizzard are also well known for holding back, then releasing information at a point it effects their competitors most! ESO is here, soon to be followed by Wildstar, the cards are now on the table and Blizzard will drop it's ace from the sleeve.
In the next few days or week, I fully expect a steady dump of Warlords hype.

Masterstroke or financial disaster ? only time will tell

Warlords will be rubbish.....for the most part!

With Warlords we will finally see the end of the Warcraft we once knew!
We will get 10 lvl's of meaningless face roll content that caters for poor quality and new players! At lvl 100 these players will be given the new style LFR with bosses nerfed to timeless isle rare status.
Warlords assuming Blizzard goes ahead with shop-A-char with instant 600 trade skill, will see the end of the WOW economics as we know it.
Player housing is not the vision players had, for all the huffing and puffing Blizzard do about co-op playing, garrisons are aimed at making a MMO a solo experience, a single player game.
Unless Blizzard after 10 years of fail boating are working on separating PVP and PVE talent trees? PVP will still be broken with it effecting PVE and in turn PVE will still effect PVP.
I'm sure along the way Warlords will have some very good points and be the normal polished game from Blizzard, the new top end 20 man sounds exciting for the few that will see it......but I feel Warlords will be a one last look at Warcraft for me and many others, sad but true.....all things end
