I'm not entirely sure where to post this as this is the General Forum and this is WoW/Blizzard related it does meet the requirements of said forum, but may lack the discussion part. Feel free to provide your own input as you see fit and let's hope it isn't closed/moved. I will post a similar discussion in the PVE section looking for group related section in the hopes that is the more appropriate location. That being said, if you are viewing this you are more than likely looking to get curve within this expansion for your own motivations. Please understand that the demand is probably much much greater than the supply any one group is willing/able to offer so if the flaming becomes intolerable because of limitations these events will cease, but hopefully an altruistic notion will make a step forward for the general community of the game.
This will be an event hosted by my guild, Reformed, every Sunday @ 20:00 server time with invites going out shortly before. We will take 1 member of the community each week through Wildcard drawing as long as they meet the following requirements:
1. You do not currently have Curve (This is meant as charity, not farm, only those who have no evidence of curve will be accepted into the drawing. This can be easily checked on Alts when the mount becomes available as it will show in your mount page. We have means of discovering if the toon is an alt or main so please do not waste our time and yours.)
2. You have shown obvious signs of investment in your current character. This can be as simple as having crafted gear or gear that contributes to your BIS stats and is of Baleful quality. This isn't meant for players fresh out of 100 running around in greens. This is meant for players who deserve a chance at the encounter, but because of social norms demanding Curve/710ilvl+, they are unable to do so through conventional means. We will expect to see Normal content kills and possibly even a few Hc. You are expected to have gems (+50 will do), flasks, and enchants.
3. This boost works on our time table and if you are unable to make the event it will be awarded to the next in line. If you let us know in advance if you will not be able to make it we will allow you to reschedule or pass it on to another player of your choice. Raiders like everyone else have real social lives which they enjoy so this is a simple request that you respect the time we take out for such an event.
4. Finally, this event is an effort to alleviate the tension between different raid tiers and hopefully provide a few deserving players a chance at the achievement and upcoming mount. This will not involve loot as it will be given to the players supporting the efforts of the raid.
If you wish to enter the wildcard entry I ask that you do so on this post. Please do so on the character you wish to bring and provide a tiny summary of yourself as a player. It is always nice to meet different members of the community and get to hear their story rather than a simple "bump" or "plus 1".
