So... it's been many, many patches since Rogues gained the ability to wield axes. I remember when the decision was made, and GC explained in a blue post why Shaman didn't get swords... it had some very strong points. I felt a little suspicious of how it would turn out, but I figured "What the hell, it'll probably work out."
And yet in all the patches since then, I still see an unusually large amount of 1H swords. We've seen 1H axes too, I agree... but still there's ALWAYS a 1H sword that Enhancement Shaman have wanted in every tier of content.
At least back in Wrath, AP was the king, not Agi and Str, and thus DW DKs could wield those swords as well (SMF hadn't been around yet).
But that's changed... Agi Swords can be used by one spec... and one spec only. Combat Rogues. I get that, sometimes, you just want to make a sword.
But why is it the case that only Combat Rogues can reliably use Agi swords?
I only ask this because, as we've seen, you're not restricting your Agi weapons to Fists, Axes, and Maces, despite the fact that all three of those can be wielded by both Agi DW specs. So, really, at this point the ENTIRE reason you gave Axes to Rogues is simply not being taken advantage of. It's yielding literally no benefits.
It's about time this whole problem with itemization for DW specs is reconsidered. It's bad enough that daggers and Agi ranged weps can only be reliably used by rogues and hunters (respectively). But at least make these 2.6 speed Agi weapons available to Enhancement.
Why don't you just add to the Enhancement Dual Wield passive the ability to wield swords? Then you don't have to worry about Ele/Resto going after caster swords and using literally every caster weapon.
