Hello,
First of all, I want to thank you, whoever reads this post, I just wanna thank you in advance for reading this.
Back in 2011, during Cataclysm, my brother introduced me into WoW. A bit late, I know, but he started in Burning Crusade, I just never felt like playing before that. Anyway, he showed me everything, he gave me tips for leveling up, he told me everything about classes and once I got 85 he made me run into old cool raids with his guild. It was awesome, I can even say that was one of the best times of my life. We played together through all what was left of Cataclysm, and soon it was the Mists of Pandaria release. I was so excited, it was the first time that I would live an expansion launch.
You know, back in Cataclysm, I was still a noob, so I wasn't able to do some high-end raiding, but with MoP's release, I started my first real raids with my brother's guild. It was so great, and it was at this point that I was really enjoying raiding.
It was a great expansion, we enjoyed the most of it. Then, in November 2013, Blizzard made the announcement for Warlords of Draenor. Nice, I've read so much things on Draenor, we'll be able to go back in time and visit orcs and draenei's homeland before it became Outland.
My brother and I were so hyped for this expansion, it was now a passion for the both of us. We took a week off work and played almost 24/7. We raided through HIghmaul and BRF a lot...
That was until April 29, when my brother wasn't coming home from work when we were about to go raid. He was usually coming like 3 hours before the raid starts, so I was worried. It was later that night that I heard the doorbell ringing, it was two policemen. They came to announce me that my brother just died in a car accident.
That... was the hardest moment of my life. The person who introduced me to this wonderful game, the person I had the most amazing time with, just passed away... Even to this day, I feel so empty knowing he will never come back home, and knowing that his character will never log in again.
I try to remain positive, I remember all the great times I had with him, and I will never regret joining in the World of Warcraft. The first old raid he introduced me to was Ulduar. Now, every time I hear the Antechamber music, a tear comes to my eye.
He was a hardcore WoW fan, he even had the Swift Spectral Tiger from the TCG and I was always kinda jealous because I always thought that this mount was so amazing. Now, every time I see that tiger, it reminds me of him.
Why am I telling you all this? Well for 2 reasons mostly... the first one is that I had to tell it, I had to empty out what was lingering in my heart. The second one, is to give my thanks. I want to thank everybody in my guild, they are incredible people to play with. I also want to thank everyone who is part of this amazing community, you guys rock! And finally, I want to thank Blizzard Entertainment, for making such an amazing game. Thanks to Blizzard, I've met awesome people, I've had an incredible time for all the 4 years I've been playing this game.
My brother is gone, but I still want to play this game, because it has become a passion. I kind of want to honor him by getting myself the Swift Spectral Tiger too, but it's really hard to obtain and can be very expansive if you buy it online.
Anyway, thank you all for everything, I am still very excited for Legion, and I hope that the game remains alive at least for the next few years.
After all, we are the world... of Warcraft.
