I realize that somewhere (though I have searched for it and could not find it) there is a thread about the removal of the portals. I have only found the thread from the user who was upset that you deleted his thread and you told him that there was already a discussion in progress about the removal of the portals.
Perhaps you would care to put a link so we can find that discussion and add to it.
Since I can't find the discussion, let me state clearly and unequivocally that I am really upset about the removal of the portals. I am a casual player. Between my family (which includes two small children), friends and the normal maintenance of adult life, I have only a small amount of time to play a game that I enjoy very much.
Now I have to spend approximately 30% of my valued play time in travel. If you want to move people back to the capitol cities, fine. Put portals there. But as a casual player, I really don't have the time to play a game which requires I spend 30% simply waiting to get to destinations. That's not how I want to spend my very limited and very precious free time.
And I can't be the only casual player that will be having this difficulty.
Good luck with the hard core players that don't mind spending a lot of time traveling. I am one of the true casual players, and I simply don't have that time. By the way, I've been playing World of Warcraft for a year and a half and this is my first time to ever post to the forums. There has never been a need before this.
I hope Blizzard fixes this soon, or I fear many of the casual players will leave simply due to time constraints.
