At least he replies when talked to - whether you agree with him is of course a different matter.
The current devs just stone-wall you or worst block you if you "hurt their feelings" by criticising their work.
I get the impression current devs just cover their ears when told things they don't want to hear.
PS:
Seriously, I love WoW's technical side. Ya, I yelled at them a lot in the past but they seem to have shaped up. The new engine is pretty nice. Fairly efficient now after a few patches. The AA solution while could be better, is reasonable. Sure a lot of promised features aren't in yet, but they will be here soon enough. I also noticed the game seems more vibrant lately, maybe they changed up the shaders or maybe it's due to the new engine with better blending.
On the network side, latency in WoW is better than other MMOs I have played. Soon they will have Aus servers too. While I'm not Australian, chances are I might benefit too from it.
Customer support is pretty good as well. The account management site is well designed.
But ...
Obsession with raiding and PVP IMHO has made the classes bland. No one is allowed to have unique strengths and weakness anymore. The same can be said for gear, now it's most just stats and damage procs - all easy to model but frankly quite boring.
"Balance" killed the "RP" in "MMORPG". : /
Then there is the story ... This hurt immersion so very bad. /smh
What's worse is they literally shut their ears if you dare criticise their writing on twitter.
WoW's art style has also always been a bit of a sore point for me. Their blocky exaggerated RTS look - especially of their buildings and landmarks - really kills the sense of scale. Major immersion killer.
Look at the forum background. Look at the under construction Dark Portal. Look at the scale! We aren't going to see that in-game. : /
That concludes my rant. Thanks for reading.
