Your Loot Specialization is what chooses what gear bosses drop for you. To set it, follow these steps:

Step 1. Right click your Character Portrait
Step 2. Mouse over Loot Specialization
Step 3. Select the Specialization you want the boss to give you

If you want tanking loot, select Brewmaster.
If you want healing loot, select Mistweaver.
If you want damage loot, select Windwalker.

You might get one piece of gear or you might get gold. When the boss in LFR or Flex dies (or if you use a bonus roll) you have a chance to either get a piece of gear based off your Loot Specialization, or you may get a container of gold or other items.

While I can only say so much about this, I would like to comment on what subscription costs generally pay for: customer support.

So, I suppose a "free" version of WoW might limit your Support options to self-service (or remove all ability for support at all). Making WoW free would radically adjust the support model for the game -- think Diablo III. Just a thought.

Additionally, I have seen several threads in the General forums related to a "loyalty program" request, specifically geared toward customers who have been playing for a long time. Perhaps that's a suggestion to raise there?

Lastly, I'll be moving this thread over to General Discussion so this conversation can continue in the correct environment. :)

I'm sorry, Tyrathius, you're right. Unfortunately, I cannot answer this question directly, as it falls outside the scope of my assistance. I can, however, direct you and the OP to this post from Ghostcrawler:

I'm not going to promise this yet, because a lot of magic has to happen for that to work, but it's our intent. We have discussed having a character level requirement for some rewards, so that your level-2 gnome couldn’t walk around with the “Defender of a Shattered World” title just because your level-90 shaman earned it. If the gnome made it to level 80, though, you could proudly show off your title. You also won’t be able to use a faction-specific pet, mount, or title on the wrong faction. The achievement wouldn’t go away -- you just wouldn’t be able to show it off on that character. There are probably additional exceptions and details we’ll find as we dig deeper into the system.

This is the kind of system that will evolve over time, and we don’t think this has to be the way achievements work forever. As beta players start experimenting with it and offering feedback, I am certain that we will end up making even more changes.
