During and after last night's qualifier matches, we received a number of reports from players who were confused or concerned about how the qualifiers were operating. We've been in constant communication with ESL America (our partner who is administering the NA qualifiers), and have an update on where things stand, and what can be done to improve the situation going forward.
Admin Contact One of the biggest points of concern we've been hearing is that some players are having trouble getting into contact with tournament administrators when encountering issues. As most, if not all, of the problems we're seeing reported are things that could have been resolved or prevented by getting an admin involved, clearing this up was our first priority. We'd like to clarify the existing method of admin contact to make sure everyone is aware of it, and we're opening up a new option as well. 1. ESL Web Site: There is a support ticket system on ESL's website, which can be accessed by clicking the "Support" link on the ESL tournament site, or directly via this link: http://www.nationalesl.com/us/americaqualifier2014/wow/support/. ESL admins are monitoring this system constantly, and are typically able to respond and resolve issues within 5-10 minutes of receiving a ticket. This is the fastest and best way to contact an admin. 2. Twitter: To provide more means of admin contact, ESL will now be taking admin requests through Twitter in addition to the support ticket system. You can get in touch with an admin by sending a tweet to @NationalESL. Be sure to mention that you need help with a match from the WoW NA Qualifier, and follow @NationalESL so that they are able to reply to you via direct message. No admin communications will be conducted in public tweets aside from the initial request for assistance. Rules Clarifications We've seen many questions regarding some of the tournament rules. Here are some clarifications: 1. Start time: Day 2 matches begin at 8PM EDT (5PM PDT). Please be online and ready to play starting at that time, and remain available until the tournament finishes. 2. Penalties for submitting false information: As a reminder, submitting false information about match results is grounds for immediate disqualification. If you believe that an opposing team has submitted false information, please contact an admin immediately. 3. Day 1 matches: Some matches were played and reported yesterday that were originally scheduled to be played today. While they were finished ahead of schedule, the results still stand, and no matches from Day 1 will be replayed. We're continuing to monitor and investigate reported issues, and will post any additional updates as they become available. |

Players are allowed to switch to different characters to run different comps, as has always been the case in official Blizzard tournaments. |
