I know this may seem like a DK whine thread, but it has to be said. The passive Blood Parasite which was a talent is the issue. Before 5.0.4 it was a talent that I always never took because it seems a little stupid and it didn't allow me to solo Mind Control bosses like Kael'thas, Chromaggus, and old Hakkar. Now it is a strait up passive that can't be avoided. I'm not sure Blizzard can do it but I'm asking, can you guys make it to where guardians, pets, and such aren't counted as people so we don't get Mind Controlled and then have to stand there and watch as KT fireballs them to death and then he resets. This would be a big change yes, but I'm sure a lot of DK's want to farm Ashes of Al'ar as much as I do at level 90. I also know that Blood Parasites is only active in Blood Spec, but I'm pretty sure you won't be able to solo it at 90 without good sustain.

We've specifically avoided ever setting the expectation that old group content will be adjusted such that it can be soloed, not only by a certain level, but by every class/spec in the game. The fact that old raids can be soloed is a side effect of the game's increasing level/power cap over time. If you can pull it off, awesome!

Why should one class be punished for this when most of the others can solo it?
It is old content and it should not have to be done with a group some people are on low pop servers as well and do not have the luxury of this.

I don't think the low-pop argument is a good one. We're talking about the difference between soloing something, and bringing one or more friends to help.

That kind of talk is very bad news when you put the idea of the item squish out there. Which is something that we know blizzard still wants to do.

I didn't say we'll never adjust old content even if it feels warranted, either. :)
