We've all heard of these bans:
- Exploiting.
- Automation.
- Spamming.
- Real-World Trading.
- Scamming.
However, have you ever heard someone complain about getting banned for Abusive Language or Harassment?
I believe Blizzard does not respond well to Abusive Language and Harassment reports, and so I'm protesting that Blizzard deals with these reports properly, and deals out harsh punishments to those who do not respect other players.
EDIT: It has come to my attention that Blizzard does in-fact deal with it, however Blizzard relys on actually reporting the player, how about an in-game notice warning them with the threat of an instant temporary mute if they swear excessively.
This is for the good of the community.
I would appreciate a Blue or Green Blizzard post regarding this matter.

Thanks for your thoughts, Fúél.
You're unlikely to hear about it much because people probably don't want to shout it from the rooftops when they're suspended for such things. We're not permitted to share information about actions taken against specific players either, so you're basing all this on a fairly large assumption. If someone is reported for harassment or abuse and we find it to be true, we will take action. We would much rather that the game environment be a pleasant and safe one, than let those who break the rules and spoil other players' fun continue doing so. I'm changing the title of this thread, as we don't allow petitions here on the forums. But by all means continue giving your thoughts. |
