I wish to be a traitor.

It's absurd to believe that in the land of Azeroth there is no such thing as Humans who work with the Horde, Tauren who work with Alliance etc.

"Traitors" originally being members of one faction/race but who actually hold Alligence to another, I see no reason why these can't be play-able characters.

You could even go somewhat Death Knight mode on it by only having 1 per account per server to keep the numbers reasonable, for "lore reasons" if need be.

People can role play anything they wish! ;)

But no, in terms of gnomes working for the Horde for example, I can't see Garrosh having that for one moment, and I reckon Varian would blow a gasket at the idea of Orcs strolling around Stormwind with the way things currently are.

Sure, traitors exist in this world. But is it too hard to believe that, in Azeroth, with everything they've been through members of the Horde and Alliance are too loyal to their own race, if not their race's faction, to want to defect?

Honestly speaking, I find it too hard to believe that every single member of multiple races would all be 100% loyal to one faction leader.

Okay, even if 100% is asking too much and there are a few traitors around, you just don't play one of them. In WoW, your role in Azeroth is as one of the loyal fighters. As I said though, role play is awesome for the kind of experiences that aren't options in normal play. Demon Hunters anyone? :P
