This might be off topic but i did not know where else to post this. However I wanted to express my opinion of the translation quality of the MoP TV spot I just watched:
The English "Get in the fight" was translated into "Der Konflikt geht weiter".
Excuse my french but what a rubbish translation is that!?
First of all - the english is very active and asks the audience to do something. The german is passive (great for an ad, eh?) as it just means "the conflict goes on". So, does it? Spectacular! But what do I care? Shall I get fighting? (just making my point)
To clarify: I play on a English realm for the variety of players from different countries with different cultures. So obviously although I'm German I use the English client. However I know that various friends of mine still use the English client although they are playing on German realms as they can't stand the translations. This is all fine.
But please, Blizzard, get at least the TV Spots right. For you! (I play anyways ;))
