WoW's Gelotological Effects on Social Media

Many of your kin in the community have taken up an educational, albeit humorous game within the Twitter space. If you're up for taking your Warcraft-related analyses and crafting some clever subject lines for those assertions, I invite you to join in here. Let's hear your fake Warcraft thesis.

You can also join the ongoing Twitter conversation. We're featuring some of our favorite #FakeWarcraftThesis tweets here: http://twitter.com/#!/search/%23fakewarcraftthesis%20from%3Awarcraft

It's just good fun, friends. That's why we're all here.

Many old schoolers, including myself, don't use twitter.

Is there a way we can still discuss this Zarhym? It seems fun. Or better yet, could we reply here on this thread with our thoughts on this subject?

I don't twitter.

I created this thread in the event folks on the forums want to take part here. :)

The originators of the #fakewarcraftthesis hashtag have a post up about the origins of the meme, as well as a call for real papers on Warcraft. I've seen a lot of topics that, while suggested in humor, would actually make for fascinating reading if treated seriously.

The post is up at Flavor Text Lore, at:

If you don't have twitter, please contribute topics on this thread - we'd all love to see what you come up with!

The original hashtag was #fakewarcrafthesis (https://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23fakewarcrafthesis), but it morphed over the course of yesterday. If you're looking for more reading, check out the entries which started them all.

Thanks, Zarhym!

I love the way this all started, but it's been fun to see everyone contribute in clever ways. ;)
